How to choose the right colour LED?

Tradition incandescents light bulbs always provide a warm, yellowish light colour. However, LED gives a wide range of colours, from purple to red, to a spectrum of white and yellow.

General speaking, people will look for something similar and close to the light of the incandescent bulbs. The popular colours for LED bulbs are "Warm White" or "Soft White" which is close to yellowish light that produced by incandescent bulb, and "Cool White" that is a bluish white light close to daylight.

The technical terms for lights colour is Colour Temperature, which is measured in Kelvin (using the symbol K). Lower colour temperature (2700K-3000K), the yellowish white light is called warm colours. Higher colour temperature (5000K or higher), the bluish white light is called cool white.

So, if you are looking for a warm feeling a lower colour temperature LED bulbs is your choice.

What should we consider when buying LED bulbs?
Watts?? or Lumens??

People buying bulbs will probably used to looking for watts, a traditional way to indicate the level of brightness in an incandescent bulb. However, in the World of LED bulbs, Lumens is the key, it is the real measurement of brightness generated by a LED light bulb.
