If you are at all thinking of Whistler this season, now is the time. Because we are so new, our booking calendar still has some good options. We are so excited to welcome our first guest this week and will enjoy our place for four days before, Yikes!, a total stranger checks in through Airbnb.

We went very conservative with Airbnb, because opening up your life and you home to people you don't know is something we still need to get used to. You may notice, checking our place out on Airbnb, likely won't let you book unless your a seasoned Airbnb client with a spotless record. We asked for that option for now. Rest assured, if you are my friend (or friend of a friend), there is no restriction, so please reach out to us directly.

We have three Airbnb guests booked and that "restriction" will be going away soon. As we get more comfy with the idea and the booking system opens up to all, the guess is that the calendar will fill up.

We will be mapping out our own winter spring and blocking dates for us. I really hope I can also block more dates for friends as well.

So, if you're thinking about coming to Whistler, keep checking back on Airbnb for the dates you're thinking can still work for you and let us know as soon as you've made a decision.

Yes, if doing some work remotely is part of an unfortunate reality to you coming to Whistler, our WIFI speed is rated high for those zoom meetings in the condo and this quiet desk corner with a spectacular mountain view also connects to ethernet.

We've listed our vacation property on Airbnb, so not just friends but perhaps some strangers will be reaching out to us. Scary!

I plan to use Airbnb in this way, but also a "one place" to keep track of my calendar of bookings. I encourage you, in your planning to keep looking at our Airbnb calendar. Don't book there, but rather reach out to us directly. So far, some dates have been blocked by us for our own use and convenience. So if something doesn't quite work, ask us and I might be able to shift something around. Happy planning everyone!

Mission 40 to Whistler since June. Just to add perspective, if I drive a bit but allowably fast up/down Sea to Sky Hwy 99, the round trip takes a bit over 3 hours. If a full time work week is 40 hours, I’ve spent at least three working weeks driving our picturesque highway since we got the keys. Tonight I started putting the beautiful blue doors on the kitchen cabinets.

Hey everyone! I've been dragging my heels on this invite because, as you will see, our Whistler condo is comfy and cozy, but still a work in progress. We had someone do a "soft opening" test over Christmas and they love it so much...they're still there! We've had an extremely busy last half year working on making this great powder dream home come to life. ;)

Our condo, located at Creekside which is the original and historic base of Whistler, is just a short walk from the "new this year" upgraded lifts: a bigger gondola and Big Red 6 person chair. Then the largest in the world Peak to Peak gondola means you have included parking to the condo and both Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

This was a big undertaking and we are encouraged that places like ours are booked right through spring. So right now you are seeing something brand new that is both available and rare...until word gets out.

Also, If you are seeing this invite today, it's because you are an immediate Facebook friend (if it's been a few days, perhaps you are a friend of a friend) but either way, our hope is to have you book with us directly rather than need to pay more or pass on additional service fees and costs by booking through others.

So, if you have plans to come to Whistler, sooner or later, be sure to follow Powder Dream. Feel free to reach out to us, share the joy, suggest a rental booking and we'll make something work.
