It is with great honor that Flux Laboratory is sharing, as each year, an artistic project referring to World Refugee Day.
In "Maybe we just stand still", the movement of the two bodies, the different pace of the choreography, and all the small details that express safety or fear respectively, are there to remind us that ritual is the main milestone towards solidarity.

"Two dancers: one moving fast and spasmodically, asking for help; the other standing still, passively receiving the state of the first dancer, unable to provide any help at all. This simple kinetic idea illustrates that, even with good intentions, the urgency is greater, conveying the message that we must act now."

This research proposal is a duet by the singer Mary Denaxa and the dancer Zoi Efstathiou.
Mary Denaxa comes from the field of folk music while Zoi Efstathiou is a contemporary dancer of the ROSAS Dance Company for the last 5 years. They create a performance, by forming an alloy of 2 different elements of art, dance and singing.
This is a research based on a text which is focused on the concept of mourning; written and gradually deconstructed by both artists, over the period of 20 days. The main aim is to investigate the primary stimulus, which focuses on breathing and movement. The basis of the performance originates from activating the strings of the voice, starting by different parts of the body, either to produce sound or movement. The two performers create plenty of repetitive patterns on stage that introduce the audiences to meteoric emotions.

Flux Laboratory Athens invited the transdisciplinary artist Athena Wasborn to deepen and express their artistic practice in Greece for a period of six months.
Technology of the Earth is an expression of the research of Athena Wasborn and Olia Dramitinou in collaboration with Despoina Sanida Crezia - into hyper-translation of histories of place and dis-placement to the point of losing the objects of translation. Left with just the
relation of human and elemental bodies, they experiment around the edge of nature and anti-nature, creating an analog AI poetry generator, reading cosmological systems on rocks mapped with burger king wrappers and holy cows, slipping our bodies into mathematical diagrams, playing with the physical etymology of technology. What comes after duality?
How can we embody this breaking point as the natural unnatural creatures we are, always in between?
Technology of the Earth is co-created by Athena Wasborn and Olia Dramitinou, in
collaboration with Despoina Sanida Crezia and Panagiotis Tomaras. The piece is part of a 4 year portal around duality’s transformation opened by Athena Wasborn in 2020. The piece is in part the expression of their residency at Flux Laboratory Athens. Featuring Erifili Mikropoulou.

Le Flux Laboratory, en collaboration avec le Théâtre Franco Parenti, sous le patronage du Consulat général de Suisse à Milan, est heureux de présenter la pièce du célèbre chorégraphe Akram Khan intitulée Chotto Xenos le samedi 9 octobre au Teatro Franco Parenti à Milan.
Basé sur le dernier solo Xenos, Chotto Xenos est un spectacle de danse captivant qui invite le jeune public à remonter le temps. La pièce les incite à réfléchir sur le colonialisme, l'absurdité des guerres et leur impact sur l'humanité.
Chotto Xenos capte le regard d'une génération émergente pour qu'elle n'oublie pas l'histoire des guerres, en lui offrant une expérience artistique unique qui prône la tolérance et un monde pacifique.
