Our patented helicopter deck is accepted worldwide for safe and reliable take-off and landing on both offshore and onshore vessels and structures. The lightweight aluminum pancake consists of an extruded deck plank and girder beam. This combined with an aluminum sub-structure reduces the total weight to half that of steel. In addition, serrations ensure high friction co-efficiency on the landing deck which can be either painted green or left neutral. No welding is required during site installation as the helideck is entirely bolted together. All plates and extruded profiles are marine grade 6 # # # or 5 # # # serials. The fasteners for aluminum connections are SS316 grade A40-70 or 80.

NSO delivers turnkey interior package and aluminum helideck for BP Tortue QU platform at CIMC Yantai.

“We are extremely proud to have had the opportunity to work with CIMC, KBR, BP, and all the other involved parties. We executed the interior package from concept design to commissioning so it was quite a journey, and we were happy to see the satisfaction from the BP operating team when they went onboard in the end. We feel that the spaces we delivered have a much more comfortable atmosphere than a typical offshore project. Comfort, ergonomics, and quality were the three factors we wanted to achieve for the interior and I think we accomplished that perfectly.” said Robert Rust, Marketing & BD manager for NSO.

NSO worked closely with KBR who provided overall project management on behalf of BP to ensure the owner’s expectations were realized. We also worked closely with the builder (CIMC) and together achieved a timely delivery and well executed project. The platform was built in CIMC Raffles in Yantai, China. The platform was delivered to BP in May of 2021 and arrived offshore Mauritania and Senegal in August of 2022 and will serve as the control center for operations and provide accommodation for 216 persons.

NSO, based in Yantai, is a leading provider of premium interior solutions and lightweight aluminium helidecks for the offshore, marine, and passenger vessel markets. On this particular project, NSO was responsible for the architectural and interior design, basic design, detailed engineering, construction engineering, engineering management, procurement, cabin assembly, installation supervision, commissioning, and mechanical completion of all cabins and public areas including lounges, office spaces, cafeteria, meeting rooms, game room, cinema, laundry, restrooms, change rooms, and installation of galley, totaling approximately 9,500m² of total area. NSO also carried out the design, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and installation supervision of the 20.88m aluminium helideck.

This was a milestone project for NSO and we are proud to have been part of the journey!

NSO delivers 5,600m² of high-end public area interior packages on Viking Glory

“We are thrilled to announce the delivery of our interior packages onboard Viking Glory. This was a special project for NSO and will always be a highlight in our portfolio. At all times we had a positive working relationship with Viking Line, Koncept Stockholm (KS), and Xiamen Shipyard which certainly helped ensure a positive outcome. It’s a truly remarkable project with a spectacular interior design by KS. She will make a fantastic addition to the Viking Line cruise ferry fleet.” said Kristian Vidfar, Marketing Director for NSO.

The interior design was carried out by Koncept Stockholm together with Viking Line architect and staff. The basic design was done by Viking Line Technical Department and Deltamarin. Viking Glory was constructed by Xiamen Shipyard in Xiamen, China and she entered service in early March operating the Turku–Mariehamn–Stockholm route.

On this project, NSO was responsible for the engineering, procurement, project management, installation, and commissioning of 5,600m² of public area including the duty free shop, Torget gathering place, Viking Terrace rooftop bar, children's play area, conference facilities for 400 people as well as Archipelago spa & wellness center which includes two treatment rooms, small gym and yoga rooms, saunas, relaxation pool, jacuzzis and snow cave. We also installed and commissioned the lighting in crew sun deck.

NSO was the only Chinese interior outfitting company involved in this project, yet we were responsible for some of the largest public area interior packages.

NSO delivers high-end public area interior packages for DFDS sister ships Aura Seaways and Luna Seaways.

“We take great pride in announcing the successful completion of the complete public area packages onboard Aura Seaways and Luna Seaways for DFDS. This was an important project for NSO and we are thrilled to have been part of it. We think all of the involved parties should be pleased with the result,” said Robert Rust, Marketing & BD manager for NSO.

The interior design was carried out by Steen Friis Design – OSK Group with the basic design and other services by Deltamarin. The vessel was built by GSI in Guangzhou, China. Aura Seaways was delivered to DFDS in December of 2021 and entered service in January of 2022. Her sister ship Luna Seaways should enter service this Spring.

NSO, based in Yantai, China is a leading provider of premium interior solutions for the offshore, marine, and passenger vessel markets. On this particular project, NSO was responsible for the engineering, procurement, project management, installation, and commissioning of nearly 4,000m² of public area including Captain’s Bar, Road Kings Driver’s Club lounge & dining area, Mare Balticum a la Carte restaurant, Lighthouse Café, tax free Sea Shop, reception area, children’s play area, stairways, public toilets, crew mess & dayroom, and outdoor smoking area. We also installed and commissioned all public serveries as well as catering areas including preparation, cooking, refrigeration, and ware-washing for main galley.

We are proud to have taken part in these two high-standard RoPax ferries and look forward to going onboard for the true experience during operation.

NSO delivers major interior packages for world’s largest civilian hospital ship, Global Mercy.

We are proud to announce the successful completion of our interior packages onboard Global Mercy for Mercy Ships humanitarian aid organization. This high end and one of a kind vessel was built in Tianjin Xingang Shipyard under the supervision of Stena RoRo. Global Mercy was officially delivered on the 16th of June 2021.

NSO is based in Yantai, China and is a leading interior contractor of premium interior solutions for the offshore, marine and passenger vessel markets. On this project, NSO was responsible for the engineering, procurement, project management and installation of 19 VIP cabins, dining area, auditorium and VIP guest lounge – in total 3,701m². We also installed and commissioned all catering areas including preparation, cooking, refrigeration and ware-washing.

This is a special project for NSO as Global Mercy will provide humanitarian aid and top-quality healthcare services to developing countries, positively impacting countless lives and families. Global Mercy has 12 decks, is fully equipped with six state of the art operating theaters, 200 hospital beds, a full laboratory, and other medical services.

Another successful project!
Greater Bay Area #2 (Dawanqu #2) sightseeing catamaran has been delivered!

NSO proudly announces the completion of the interior on this sharp looking sightseeing catamaran. This vessel was built by CMHI Haimen Shipyard for Shenzhen Xunlong Shipping and will provide ferry service between Macao and the Shekou district of Shenzhen. It will have a variety of activities onboard for their guests including sightseeing and leisure/lounge areas for tourists, travelers, as well as a venue for conferences and celebrations.

NSO carried out the design, engineering, material delivery, project management and installation of the interior and exterior spaces including sightseeing and leisure areas, tourist shops, theater room, VIP lounges, observation room, out-deck and top-deck areas, dining areas and indoor and outdoor bars. NSO delivers 20.88m aluminium helideck to CNOOC for China’s first homegrown semi-sub platform:

NSO is pleased to announce the delivery of our 20.88m aluminium helideck to CNOOC for China’s first homegrown semi-sub deep water oil-production platform. Deep Sea No.1 (Shenhai Yihao) is the world's first 110,000-ton deep-water semi-submersible production and storage platform. It will operate off the coast of Sanya in the South China Sea and is expected to provide 25% of the gas demand in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. NSO is proud to have taken part in this important project by providing our high quality aluminium helideck solutions for safe and reliable helicopter operations.
