We hit the road for SUITCASE Magazine with photographer Kevin Faingnaert and writer Kate Horne to discover the magical places that inspired Gabriel Garcia Marquez (Gabo) to write his Nobel Prize winning brand of literature.

Kevin’s photos of Aracataca, Cartagena, Mompox, Barranquilla and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta really capture the magical realism of Gabo’s Macondo, the mythical home to the Buendia family in 100 Years of Solitude.
