Why sport fishing with Rock n' Roll?
Rock & Roll is a 55′ Hatteras powered by twin Detroit 12-71TI’s diesel engines, with a maximum capacity of 20 (12 maximum for fishing trips). The boat is equipped with a fully air-conditioned, carpeted salon, a bathroom and a well-outfitted kitchen, complete with a microwave, refrigerator and an ice maker. The salon also sports an L-shaped sofa, a dining table as well as a multimedia system, including stereo, TV and DVD player.
Rock and Roll has an open flybridge with a seating area that can comfortably fit 10 people. There are 3 cabins with a bathroom on board. All fishing gear is provided by the crew, which includes new Penn International tackle, ranging from 16lbs to 50lbs. The boat is outfitted with triple-spreaded outriggers, a fighting chair for the serious pelagic bites as well as a full tuna tower.
Rock & Roll is operated by captain Brian, a seasoned, bilingual angler with more than a decade of fishing experience. Brian and 2 of his mates specialize in big game fishing, and other than working to put you on fish, they will also be happy to clean and fillet the fish you catch following your trip.
Costa Rica has long been renowned as one of the top sport fishing locations around. Big game fishing, specifically, is what the Central Pacific Region of the country is known for: with over 70 IGFA fishing records set or broker in these waters, the Jaco region has proven its angling value time and time again. The normal fishing locations for the Rock & Roll team are 12-35 miles from the Los Suenos Marina, which translates into about a 45 minute to an hour-long boat ride. As well as offering single day sportfishing tours, the Rock n Roll team also provide reel-screaming FAD fishing adventures, where they travel up to 120 miles offshore to the serious big game fishing grounds. With a comfortable liveaboard setup, this is one of the most exciting and rewarding fishing trips out there!
The boat is moored in the bay.
