The Villa is all handcrafted and great care went into creating interior windows and veranda arches, all uniquely designed with beautiful moldings. The Queen size mahogany bed was custom designed and hand carved. The bedroom floors are beautiful Teak wood, soft underfoot. The 18ft vaulted ceiling is crowned by an unique dome which can be softly lit and is a pleasure to gaze at while lying in bed. The bathroom is spacious and mostly stone and has an ancient, exotic feel. While the bedroom and bathroom are comfortably screened in, the veranda (living room and gourmet kitchen) are open air yet covered and protected from the elements. The Villa has several stained glass Moroccan lamps and candles enhancing the already serene and romantic ambiance. The veranda flooring is imported porcelain tile, the kitchen has hand painted wall tiles and counters of Costa Rican quartz stone. Both overlook your personal 51 foot saltwater pool which is covered with see through fabric so that you are always protected from the sun's harsh rays, but can see sky and trees clearly. The pool is tiled with imported Italian glass tiles and can be lit for an evening swim under the stars. The water is non-chemical (saltwater) and feels clean, fresh and gentle. Our 60 acre private property has abundant wild life and hundreds of flowering plants, fruit and palm trees and overlooks the largest marine preserve in Central America, Caño Island, and the Whale's Tail reef (the third largest in the world). Included are hiking trails leading to stunning Pacific Ocean views and resting areas where you can stop to enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sunset. As you enter this private reserve you are stepping into a world of natural beauty where your awareness shifts as your senses are delighted and calmed by the extraordinary surroundings in which you will be living. The Villa is nestled in the midst of a garden of tropical flowers, bamboos and sculptures and overlooks your personal 51 foot saltwater pool, the Uvita River Valley, and the Talamanca Mountains beyond. Our South Pacific Coast has palm tree lined beaches with tranquil waters as well as beaches for surfing and kayaking.
