Covid-19 presence has been one of the greatest challenges that mankind has faced in the 21st century. During this time of uncertainty, while our jobs and regular duties are stopped either postponed, I focused on activities I have not been able to do. This was a perfect time to gather, talk, laugh, plan, get to know each other even better, to care and show respect and beyond all to make it up all lost moments.
Teamwork helped us rearranging our garden, planting new flowers and grass, arranging terrace, making playground for my nieces, refurbishing some old furniture and detailed general house cleaning.
Activity that I enjoyed a lot was everyday hiking or walk in the nature or mountain nearby. We all got quite distanced from nature, from fresh air, trees, plants, spring breeze, sunshine and clear sky. The energy I got while being close to nature was something that I missed since my childhood. Most importantly, spending time in nature was keeping my mind clear from panic and upsetting news that were coming from all over the world. During this time, I got motivated to do an online photography course that was my long-standing goal and you can see some of pictures that I clicked in this post.

A constant period of uncertainty was a difficult path to cross. Luckily, strong mental condition, creativity, enthusiasm and motivation helped me to keep myself busy all the time and use the lockdown in the best possible way.

In wait of better times... by Marcela Barbat, Cruise Manager at Cruiseaway.
Read about her journey through this lockdown and how is she making the best use of this time.

Two months ago, I was looking at the future with excitement and eagerness, being welcomed into the CruiseAway family. That came to a halt when this pandemic started and most of us had no choice but to stay inside and watch things unfold.
As days went by, waiting for things to improve, we created a new routine. Of course, I pulled out the long list of fancy dishes I always wanted to cook, but never found the time before, and spoiled my family. But what ultimately kept me busy were the podcasts about human potential, personal growth, mind hacking, and bending reality techniques. There is so much useful and interesting information about new scientific discoveries about the human brain and its potential.
It helped me understand that we have so much power within us if we know how to use the right tools and mindset. That makes me confident in knowing that when we'll be able to resume our jobs, and we will sooner or later, I will be a better, improved version of myself. In the meantime, I will continue spoiling my family doing what I like most, baking delicious cakes and desserts. This weekend we have a double reason for celebration, coming out of lockdown, and my son's 20th birthday, and I can’t think of a better way to do so but by celebrating with family and Strawberry cheesecake ice cream cake. 🙂
If I learned something these past two months is that humans are resilient and inventive, always able to find reasons to be joyful and celebrate life.
Until we meet again stay safe and healthy, be grateful for the "little" things in your life, because most of the time, they are the most important things, and don't forget to enjoy life.
