Although we are still in a time of crisis, long walks at our wide beaches in Destination Vesterhavet is lovely. Getting blown through - but not backwards 😉 It gives new energy and joy with a view of wide spaces. 🌊

Flyers in the night and flash back to World War II. Here is Museum Director Mette Bjerrum Jensen and Museum Inspector Peter Carstensen inside a reconstructed bunker at the Ringkøbing Museum. The beautiful aircraft "Just Jane" is one of the 19 planes that crashed in the area. The script over the door frame tells the soldiers not to lean against the wall when there were attacks, for the shakes could go through the body and smash their knees. Definitely worth a visit when the museum reopens after Covid19.

Beautiful morning in Hvide Sande Havn, where the cutters get ready to sail out on the mirror-shiny water. The big ship is a Jack-up ship that sails around with four legs. The legs can be lowered to the seabed, so that the ship can then be lifted free of the water and operate the crane from a fixed platform out on the sea. The four legs of the ship each measure 82.5 meters. The ship is the largest ship, that has arrived at Hvide Sande Havn 💙🌊💪🏻

There is always the certainty of seeing deer in Vejers. These crown deer are a landmark for Vejers city and they will definitely be here when returning to the Destination Vesterhavet 🦌🦌🦌😉🌊

Der er altid sikkerhed for at se krondyr i Vejers. Disse krondyr er et vartegn for Vejers by, og de står her helt sikkert, når I vender retur til Destination Vesterhavet 🦌🦌🦌😉🌊

Today we have a look at the construction site at the new, large experience center Naturkraft near Ringkøbing in the Destination Vesterhavet. It opens on June 4, 2020. We look forward and hope Denmark is open again at that time 🎉😀

Beautiful, colorful houses in Hvide Sandes ”Æ Gammel Havn”. Many creative souls live here and some of the house owners renovate the houses to make them look beautiful when you return to Destination Vesterhavet as a tourist �

The North Sea has many shades from black blue and brown violet to light gray and bottle green. Today the sea is green like the color of hope - actually very pastel green with hints of blue. Enjoy the sound of the North Sea waves 🌊😉💙

COMMUNITY. During this time, we flag for community at a distance by the West Coast of Denmark. It is beautiful and touches the heart. And we send many thoughts to all our foreign guests, who unfortunately cannot visit us right now, but who we look forward to seeing when the Covid19 crisis is over and the borders are open again. 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

Our Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen last night held a press conference and unfortunately our borders do not open after Easter - which is sensible and right for health reasons. So we're going to have to be patient for a while, but we look forward to seeing you when it's safe again.

This weekend our tourism director was out shopping in Blåvand, Ho and Henne. Because it is important to support the local traders during this Covid19 time. So all the shops are still there when Destination Vesterhavet guests return ���
