Explore the famous Champagne Reef and a fascinating West Indian cargo shipwreck site on this two-tank scuba diving cruise excursion for certified divers in Roseau, Dominica. Meet your driver near your Dominica cruise pier and hop onboard your air-conditioned transportation for a 15-minute drive to
the Dominica Champagne SCUBA Diving Excursion facility. On your journey there, you will pass the picturesque village of Pointe Michel. On arrival at the dive excursion facility, you will meet your PADI certified Divemaster and get all the paperwork filled out. You will be provided with comfortably fitting SCUBA diving gear, a brief safety orientation and the dive plan on how to get the most out of your SCUBA shore excursion in Dominica. Gear includes a shortie wetsuit, regulator, BCD, mask, snorkel and fins along with your weight belt and tanks. Please indicate on your booking form your gender, shoe and T-shirt sizes (fins and BCD) for each participant. Both dives will commence at the seashore and the sites can be accessed quickly and easily from here too. There is very little swimming to get to the first reef diving site. SCUBA diving by the "Wreck" an old West Indian cargo ship will allow you to observe fascinating chain links and cannon balls. Ranging from 55 to 85ft deep, the shallow wreck dive offers you the chance to see spectacular marine life. Divers will have an hour surface interval back on shore with a complimentary hot or cold drink (no alcohol or coffee). For your second SCUBA dive, Champagne Reef is rated as one of the best dive sites in the Caribbean. You will reach a depth of up to 65ft to see how the underwater geothermal springs vent gasses in the form of thousands of warm bubbles, creating a feeling of diving through an infinite glass of champagne! The reef itself is impressive and is home to tropical marine life including resident Hawksbill turtles. The reef also has vibrantly colored corals and sponges. After your diving excursion activity, your dive master will return you back to the SCUBA dive excursion facility where there are showers, changing rooms, refreshments and a scenic sundeck. There are also a souvenirs store and coffee shop on site if you wish to purchase any item. At your leisure and when you are ready, your transportation will take you back to your Dominica cruise pier. Please note that all SCUBA divers must be certified and present their valid dive certification card. The last dive must have been within the past 2 years.
