أعلنت إدارة المتحف المصري الكبير، الثلاثاء، عن بدء استقبال المتحف بعض الأحداث والفعاليات الخاصة، بجانب الزيارات الجماعية محدودة العدد، في بعض الأقسام والمناطق بداخل المتحف، وذلك في إطار التمهيد للتشغيل التجريبي الذي سيُعلَن موعده لاحقاً.
والمتحف المصري الكبير الذي يبعد عن أهرامات الجيزة 2 كيلومتر، ويمتد على مساحة تبلغ أكثر من 500 ألف متر مربع، يُعرض فيه أكبر مجموعة من الآثار المصرية في العالم، وصُمم ليعرض أكبر مجموعة مُتكاملة في العالم من الآثار المصرية القديمة
ووفق بيان إدارة المتحف، فإنه سوف يفتتح جزئياً لاستقبال مجموعة من الزيارات الجماعية، محدودة العدد، ولإقامة بعض الفعاليات الخاصة التي يتم اختيارها بعناية. حيث سيتمكن الزوار خلال هذه المرحلة من زيارة بعض أقسام المتحف منها: ميدان المسلة المعلقة، والصالة الرئيسة المعروفة باسم البهو العظيم، ومتحف الأطفال، وتجربة الواقع الافتراضي، والحدائق، والمطاعم، والمقاهي، والمحلات التي تشمل علامات تجارية مصرية رائدة. كما سيتمكن الزوار عند دخولهم صالة الاستقبال الرئيسة في المتحف المصري الكبير، من رؤية العديد من الآثار الفريدة مثل: تمثال رمسيس الثاني، والتماثيل العشرة للملك سنوسرت، ولوحة «قائمة ملوك سقارة» الشهيرة، وعمود النصر لمرنبتاح، بالإضافة إلى تمثالين من ملوك العصر البطلمي.
وشدد بيان المتحف على أن «بقية أقسام ومناطق المتحف المصري الكبير الداخلية الأخرى ستظل مغلقة وهي القاعة الرئيسة، وقاعتا توت عنخ آمون؛ انتظاراً للافتتاح الرسمي المرتقب»

The management of the Grand Egyptian Museum announced, on Tuesday, that the museum will start receiving some special events and events, in addition to limited group visits, in some sections and areas inside the museum, as part of the prelude to the trial operation, the date of which will be announced later.
The Grand Egyptian Museum, which is 2 kilometers away from the Giza pyramids, and extends over an area of more than 500,000 square meters, displays the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world, and was designed to display the world's largest integrated collection of ancient Egyptian antiquities.
According to the museum's management statement, it will partially open to receive a group of group visits, limited in number, and to hold some carefully selected special events. During this phase, visitors will be able to visit some sections of the museum, including: the Hanging Obelisk Square, the main hall known as the Great Hall, the Children's Museum, a virtual reality experience, gardens, restaurants, cafes, and shops that include leading Egyptian brands. Upon entering the main reception hall of the Grand Egyptian Museum, visitors will also be able to see many unique monuments such as: the statue of Ramses II, the ten statues of King Senusret, the famous “Saqqara Kings List” painting, and the victory column of Merneptah, in addition to two statues of the kings of the Ptolemaic era.
