Central Asian bracelets made of silver silver, they are heavy! The ends are slightly wider than the center. I hanven't been able to pin-point exactly the origin, could be around kashgar or Uzbekistan. In any case, they are gorgeous!

Rare silver and coral necklace from Uzbekistan, most probably from the
First half of the 20th century.

Material: coral beads, silver, glass beads and Ottoman and Russian coins. The Ottoman or Uzbek coins are old and worn, one of them is dated in 1279 (1858 CE, the other ones are worn off and it is not possible to see the date. The Russian coins are dated between 1922 and 1929.

Two Mauritanian necklaces. Beads of glass, carnelian, and agate are popular in these ornaments, together with silver beads and silk tassels attached to the terminal beads. the necklaces are worn by griotes, professional singers and storytellers, as well as worn on the wrist by guedra dancers.
From the 2nd half of the XXth century.

High grade silver handmade chains, from India. These were used as belts by Son Koli fishermen of the Bombay area, who wore it below the navel over the dhoti (lower garrment) to hold the dhoti up.
I had bigger and thicker examples of these in the past, the difference on the size and weight being the wealth of the owner.
First half of the 20th century, some still available.

Silver necklace “nau gedi”, Nepal. These large silver bead necklaces are worn by western Tamang people north of Trisuli. Usually they have twelve to twenty beads, of a fluted barrel shape and about three centimeters in length. The holes are very large so that the beads may be strung on a knotted rope of black cotton thread or dark wool yarn. A center pendant is bell-shaped and filled with pitch as are the beads.
