In Spain, the tradition of the Three Kings (or Día de Reyes, celebrated on January 6th) is a highly cherished part of the holiday season. This day commemorates the visit of the Three Wise Men (or Magi)—Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar—who traveled from the East to bring gifts to the newborn Jesus.

The celebration includes several key customs:

Cabalgata de Reyes (Three Kings Parade): On the evening of January 5th, cities and towns across Spain hold grand parades featuring the Three Kings. The Kings often ride floats, throwing sweets and small gifts to the crowds, especially to children.

Gifts and Treats: On the morning of January 6th, children wake up to find gifts from the Kings, similar to Christmas gifts. Before going to bed, they often leave their shoes out with a note or drawing for the Kings, along with some food and drink for the Kings' camels.

Roscón de Reyes: A traditional sweet bread known as "Roscón de Reyes" is often eaten on January 6th. It is a round cake decorated with candied fruits to symbolize the jewels of a crown. Inside the cake, there are usually two hidden surprises: one is a small figurine, and the other is a dried bean. The person who finds the figurine is said to have good luck, while the one who finds the bean may have to buy the Roscón next year!
