A fantastic week in excellent company. Great horses, wonderful scenery, warm sunshine, good food, excellent rum and a lot of fun dancing to live Cuban music. Finished off with a morning ride to the Beaches of Havana followed by a musical show with some of the members of the famous Buena Vista Social Club in the evening. Why don’t you join us next November!

Last October we returned to our long trails of several days like the Sierra Nevada - Tabernas Desert with 6 days on horseback from 2-9 October. All riders enjoyed a nice week riding in a beautiful scenery with stunning views, good food, good hotels and good horses.

This photo album is to pay homage to Harry Rawlins, my favourite client for many years who sadly passed away on 2 October this year. Born in 1928 in Rawalpindi (Pakistan), during his youth he rode in the British Cavalry out in India and Pakistan and was also part of Mahatma Gandhi's bodyguard team. Many years later, Andalucia was the only place where he chose to ride again. He rode with us almost every year since 1997, doing all our routes. He loved Spain and Spanish customs: the siesta, red wine, olive oil and of course garlic! His anecdotes about his adventures in India fascinated all the other riders on trek with us, his last horse trek was in September 2009, at the great age of 81. A good rider and an exceptional person, he had it quite clear what matters most in life, always ready to help whoever needed it or with whatever needed doing, sharing his skills and good humour with everyone. I will always be grateful to have been able to ride more than 1000 km at his side and his memory will remain with us for always, Bravo Harry and rest in Peace!
Voici un hommage pour celui qui été mon client préféré de nombreuses années ; Harry Rawlins, décédé le 2 Octobre. Né à Rawalpindi (Paquistan) en 1928, il a été membre de la Cavalerie Britannique avec laquelle il parcouru les terres de l’Inde et du Pakistan. Il faisait partie de l’escorte personnelle de Mahatma Gandhi. Plusieurs années après, l’Andalousie a été la seule terre où il est remonté à cheval en faisant tous nos programmes depuis 1997. Il aimait bien L’Espagne et ses habitudes comme la sieste, le vin rouge et l’huile d’olive et de l’aille les matins. Ses histoires sur son passé en Inde ont fasciné tous les participants aux randonnées. Sa dernière randonnée à cheval fut en septembre 2009.Il avait alors 81 ans. À l’âge de81 ans il a fait sa dernière randonnée à cheval en septembre 2009). Bon cavalier et excellente personne, il savait qu’est-ce que c’était le plus important dans la vie ; il était toujours prêt pour aider celui qui le nécessitait pour quoi que ce soit. Ainsi il partageait son talent et sa bonne humeur avec les autres cavaliers. Je suis très reconnaissant d'avoir pu chevaucher plus de 1000 km à ses côtés et son magnifique souvenir restera toujours pour moi et tous ceux qui ont eu la chance de chevaucher à ses côtés. Bravo Harry et repose en paix !

Después, Andalucía fue el único sitio donde volvió a montar a caballo. Cabalgó con nosotros casi todos los años desde 1997, haciendo todos nuestros programas. Harry amaba España y sus costumbres: la siesta, el vino tinto y el aceite de oliva y el ajo en las mañanas. Buen jinete y excelente persona, tenía bien claro que era lo más importante en esta vida y en todo momento dispuesto a ayudar a quien lo necesitara y en lo que hiciera falta, compartiendo su talento y buen humor con los demás. Siempre agradeceré el haber podido cabalgar más de 1000kms a su lado a su lado y su magnífico recuerdo permanecerá siempre entre nosotros, ¡Bravo Harry descansa en paz!
