📢 NEWS! To celebrate our 20th birthday, Altura has launched a re-branding to clearly define the different business lines within our company:

ALTURA DMC: The Spanish incoming agency that Altura’s existence was founded upon 20 years ago, specialising in the Balearics, Canaries and Mainland Spain.

ALTURA BEDS: The global bedbank, with direct contracting in over 25 countries, including Europe, the Caribbean and Asia, as well as all major European cities.

ALTURA PLUS: The hotel representation/commercialisation side of the business, currently representing Mexican brands Crown Paradise Resorts and Sensira Resorts in European markets.

Look out for the new brand at our next events and travel fairs- we hope you like it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!! 🎂

On Monday Altura celebrated its 20th birthday- in many different ways! In the central office we had a pizza party and presentations from senior management, our ITB team celebrated in Berlin before the fair and our homeworkers celebrated in the best way- with chocolate! Thanks so much to all our partners and clients who have made Altura the successful and growing business that it is today. Here's to 20 years more!!

A great way to end a sensational year! Last week we had our product and commercial teams from across Europe in Palma for our annual commercial conference, where we could celebrate the enormous successes of 2023, including our 40% growth in revenue, and plan our strategy for 2024. And to wrap it all off, the annual staff Xmas party at the end of the week. Happy Xmas to all of our colleagues, clients and partners! 🎄 🥂

It was great to meet our partners from Sensira Resort & Spa · Riviera Maya and Hotel Crown Paradise Club Cancún again in person at World Travel Market - WTM London. We worked very hard but at the same time we had time to enjoy some pleasant discussions and planning for the following seasons.

We are very happy to represent these magnificent establishments in Europe.

🥂🤝 Last week Altura had the great pleasure of hosting our inaugural "Meet The Team" hotelier event, at the incredible skybar of the Globales Santa Lucia. We gave the opportunity to our hoteliers to meet not just our product and contracting teams, but all of our central office staff, from reservations to operations to IT, as everyone is involved in making supplier relationships work! Thanks to all of our hotel partners who attended, and as ever to our cousins at Globales for hosting such a wonderful occasion! We look forward to repeating in 2024.

✈💼 Last week was a very special week, as we toured the UK presenting our first ever roadshow for our Mexican hotel brands Crown Paradise Club Cancún and Sensira Resort & Spa · Riviera Maya. It was such a pleasure to meet with our key UK partners, and to host dinners with travel agents who were very excited to hear about the new Sensira brand and everything this amazing hotel has to offer. Thanks so much to Galaxi for organising the events impeccably, to David Lizarraga for making the long journey from Mexico to be present at the meetings, and of course, to all managers, buyers and agents who took some time out of their busy schedule to learn about and discuss opportunities for Sensira. And of course, congratulations to our lucky prize winners, who will be spending a week's free stay in Mexico! 🏖️ Beach time! To relieve high season stress, our Palma office team headed to the beach for a volleyball tournament (well, the majority, some just came for the beers and snacks!) There are many dodgy knees and tired arms in the office today...

HALF YEAR RESULTS ANNOUNCED:

⬆️ 56% increase in volume to 30th June 2023 vs 2022.
⬆️ 24% increase in profitability across this 6 month period.

Driven by strong demand for the Spanish islands and our new direct contracting programme in the Caribbean, with Mexico being the outstanding performer.

The job is only half done, but we continue to grow! Congratulations to all our on all their hard work so far, and thank you as ever to all our amazing partners and clients.

Senior leadership team announcement: We are delighted to announce that Cati Ana Amengual Matas has joined us as Head of Sales. Cati Ana comes with a great deal of experience in the travel industry, working in the past with hotel chains such as Mix Hotels, Bahia Principe and Seramar, as well as on the technology side of the sector most recently with Hotetec. The AlturaBeds team continues to grow!

This week we are delighted to announce that Peter Jackson Ledwidge will be joining us as Senior Product Manager. Peter comes with a great deal of experience in the travel industry and will be based on the Spanish Mainland, contracting Catalonia and several key chains.

In addition, David Magnier Maura has also joined the product team this week as a junior commercial support analyst, supporting with yield optimization and key account management.

Altura has been working as an incoming agency ( DMC) for more than 10 years and has grown through its strong commercial connections and its large international distribution. The Altura team is truly multinational with a commitment and focus on top class support and customer service. Operating in an international market with very competitive rates and conditions and a “Can Do” approach.

Additionally, the synergy with our sister company Hoteles Globales adds a further 38 hotels to our key stock and at best market rates. Apart from our direct contracts, we have special agreements with Alliance Partners with really competitive rates and our total portfolio of hotels is over 60.000 properties.

We can provide as well transfers services, excursions, groups reservations and many other services.

Our positive approach to challenges means that things are kept simple.
