La Graciosa, considered by many the 8th island of the Canary Islands, is a unique place in the Atlantic. The island has a registration of some 750 inhabitants, making it the smallest in the archipelago, and one of the smallest in the world. However, is its unique beauty, amazing beaches like Playa Francesca, its anchorages, which are just jaw dropping gorgeous, its people, and most importantly, the fact that the island is stopped in time, that make it a fantastic destination. It’s an amazing place to reconnect with nature, the sea and ourselves. It also important to point out that the island is protected and for anchorage a permit is necessary. Fishing is also not permitted unless authorized by regional authorities. Nevertheless, it’s definitely a must for anyone wishing to discover the Canary Islands and all its splendor. La Graciosa, though small has a lot to offer.
