La Graciosa, considered by many the 8th island of the Canary Islands, is a unique place in the Atlantic. The island has a registration of some 750 inhabitants, making it the smallest in the archipelago, and one of the smallest in the world. However, is its unique beauty, amazing beaches like Playa Francesca, its anchorages, which are just jaw dropping gorgeous, its people, and most importantly, the fact that the island is stopped in time, that make it a fantastic destination. It’s an amazing place to reconnect with nature, the sea and ourselves. It also important to point out that the island is protected and for anchorage a permit is necessary. Fishing is also not permitted unless authorized by regional authorities. Nevertheless, it’s definitely a must for anyone wishing to discover the Canary Islands and all its splendor. La Graciosa, though small has a lot to offer.

Standing at its feet, whether in land or at sea level you can help but feel a sense of awe as you gaze at Teide’s larger than life presence and aura. A mystical mountain to the ancient natives of the Canary Islands, The Guanches, who believed their devil god, Guayota, was locked inside after a fierce battle against Achamán, their supreme god among their deities, defeated him in battle. In truth, the mountain has a unique feeling when you stand beneath its feet, it just might stuff of legends. Either way, its mind blowing views will definitely leave you breathless.

Back 2011 this small island made news world wide as it began, what many believed to be the birth of a new island, an underwater volcanic eruption. The eruptions lasted for several weeks and in its aftermath the entire sea bed, fauna and flora have since thrived making it by far one of the best diving destinations in the world. Fun fact, the volcano that caused such a dynamic shift has since been named Tagoro and its crater is about 88mtr below the oceans surface, dare to discover it your next dive?

Today is a very, very special day. Every September 4th we celebrate Wildlife day, and is because year after year we loose countless species to human expansion and lost of their natural habitat that today we need to raise the awareness, we only have one world and it’s imperative that we preserve it by all means possible. Otherwise, for those of us who love the ocean, sailing, and discovering the new, will forever lose the single greatest asset it possesses, the life which breaths below its surface, the Life which its wildlife gives to our big blue.

On the northwest of Tenerife you’ll find this nifty little town, Garachico. Not only will you find the most peaceful marina in the island by , period, but also many plantain farms, the best pizza on the island...shout out to Rugantino, 😊, amazing ice cream, yea, north, cold north of Tenerife has really good ice cream, and then also amazing views of the Atlantic Ocean, historic architecture, yada, yada, get the picture? 😉 we’re saying it’s a must on your next sailing trip to Tenerife 😂. @ Garachico, Canarias, Spain

What’s your favorite place in Mallorca? We discovered the port of Alcudia in one of our first trips to Mallorca, and boy we fell in love with the place. It’s true Mallorca is the busiest during summer, however it’s also one of the best times to visit and discover places like Port of Alcudia and many others. Man, it’s so jaw dropping to go to Lanzarote and from its Mirador Del Río see this amazing view of La Graciosa. This is often considered the 8th island of the Canaries, though It’s governed by Lanzarotes local authorities it’s really the smallest and least inhabited, about 750 people live on the island. However, it’s an amazing place to visit, Playa de la cocina, Playa Las Conchas are amongst the best beaches in the archipelago. @ Graciosa, Canary Islands

Last February we had the incredible opportunity to visit , while staying in Puerto de La Estaca - , we were very excited for many reasons, however, it wasn’t until we visited places like El Valle de El Golfo, or Ventejis, Las Playas, and some other incredible places, that we finally understood why this island is one of a kind. I remember our first visit to this quite little town on the north of Mallorca, the stories of how people use to travel by train or horse, often taking them an entire day, to reach Palma. However, it’s seclusion has preserved its beauty, protected by a natural harbor, inviting you to explore it and loose yourself in its mountain scenery, historic buildings and most importantly it’s incredible people. Sóller is one of those Mediterranean port towns that’s stuck in time and by all means it should stay like this, you can never get enough of it.
