Discover La Mata from our lovely, fully licensed, 'bungalow alto' apartment (not in an apartment block). Only 4 minutes walk to the long sandy beach, with beach bars and restaurants dotted along the decked promenade. We are located an easy 35 minute drive from Alicante airport.

A 5 minute stroll takes you to a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, chemists etc. 10 mins walk to the town square where there is a further selection of restaurants and, often, events happening, there is also a local wine bodega.
Take a lovely walk around the salt lagoon nature reserve, 10 mins away, where various types of wildlife including flamingos and hoopoes can be spotted. The town has a street market every Wednesday morning and there are a number of fiestas throughout the year.

Our apartment is in a beautiful gated complex with 2 communal pools (the larger one is only open peak season). We have a verandah, balcony woth table and chairs and a small garden area.

Perfect for families and couples. You'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge, hob, kettle, fridge/freezer, toaster, juicer, filter coffee machine & microwave as well as plenty of cutlery, crockery and utensils.
Our apartment is the perfect place to explore the local area from and has air conditioning to help keep you cool during those Spanish Summer nights.
We have good WiFi throughout the apartment.

A bus stop near the property also allows you to take a short trip into the lively town of Torrevieja.

Linen and towels are all included to make your stay more enjoyable.

The region in and around Torrevieja has been voted by the World Health Organisation as one of the healthiest places in the world to live. The stunning Crevillente mountain range helps to create the areas unique climate where the average temperature ranges from 18-28 degrees Celsius.

The two salt lakes of Laguna de la Mata and the Salinas de San Miguel surrounding Torrevieja also help to create its fantastic climate. They are Europe's largest lakes and are sparkling flat expanses where salt water evaporates to produce sea salt that is still widely exported. The high concentration of salt, together with the temperature forms a microclimate recommended by medical specialists the world over for its beneficial health properties in particular for heart disease, skin disorders, rheumatism and bronchial illness.

Because of the two huge salt lakes, which make Torrevieja the biggest salt contractor in Europe, the air has in particular much iodine. For a lot of people, who visit Spain concerned about their health, this plays a big role in the choice of their place of residence. Numerous clinics for heart, circulation and rheumatic illnesses are located in the area.
