Day1: Addis Ababa – Fly to Semera&drive to Afdera-Volcano

On this day, the driver picks you up from Semera airport, then drives to Danakil depression. We start an early drive to lake Afdera(a salt lake that is located in the heart of Danakil Depressions. You will see the natural hot springs, and swimming is also possible if you are interested. We will take you to Dodom (at the base of Erta Ale). Leave after lunch, possibly at 13:30. We pass several small hamlets scatteredinthe desert.Dodom is about 9.5km from Ertaale and takes about an hour of trekking. We will have an early dinner, around 17:00. Using the Camel's back; we transport all the camping materials like food, a sleeping mattress and a mat to the volcano's rim, where we spend the night watching the dramatic action of the boiling lava. Danak il Depression (dallol and Erta Ale) ranks as one of Ethiopia's most alluring and physically challenging natural attractions. It is a shield volcano with a base diameter of 30 km by a km square caldera at its summit. Ertaale contains the world's only permanent lava lake. Ertaale is 613 meters, with a lava lake, one of only five in the world, at the summit. It is notable for being the longest existing lava lake, present since the early years of the twentieth centur

Day 2 ErtaAle-HamadEla-Dallol

This day after an early breakfast, we will drive to HamadEla. You will see lots of camel caravans, and you will have the sunset look from the very shallow salt lake Assale. Morning tour Drive to Ragad (Asebo), the place where the localities are mining salt; 1,200 km2 (460 sq mi), the Afar Depression is covered by salt, and you will look at the activity of breaking the salt from the ground, local people are cutting into rectangular pieces and loading on camels. You drive ahead to Dallol and visit the different landscapes formed by volcanic activity; Dallol + Lake Assale + salt canon, camel caravans, follow up camel caravans, follow up camel caravans and drives toHamadEla Overnight Camping.

Day 3 HamadEla-Semera-Addis Ababa-Departure

On this day, you may have another chance to see the beauty of sunrise, and then after breakfast, we will drive to the town of Semera and fly to Addis Ababa

Day Trips/outdoor From Addis Ababa to Debre Libanos monastery – Portuguese Bridge and Jemma River Gorge.

Customizable Tours.

A visit to Debre Libanos and Ras Darge’s bridge is a popular day trip out of Addis. We recommend not including the Blue Nile Gorge on a one-day tour as too much driving is involved. See our overnight tour.

We will pick you up from your hotel after breakfast for an early departure (around 7.30 hours) and leave Addis Ababa to the north. We are passing through the Entoto Hills, which offer stunning views of the capital. Ample time is available to stop to enjoy the beautiful landscape, meet the people busy with their daily work and take pictures.

After a two-hour drive, we arrive at Debre Libanos where we visit the church and the recently opened museum. A short, steep, path leads us to the cave where Tekle Haimanot has been praying. We enjoy a late lunch with breathtaking views over the Jemma River Gorge. After lunch, we make a short walk to Ras Darge’s bridge before we are heading back to Addis Ababa. We will drop you at your hotel late afternoon (around 18.00 hours)

Omo valley is a perfect place for cultural enthusiast people where you can enjoy firsthand experience of the famous Mursi people - known for their women lip-piercing, Hamer who are also known for their elaborate hairdressing and evangadi dance after a successful 'Bull-jumping' ceremony, Nnagathom who lives at the bank of Omo River are known for unbelievable amount of embroideries. This tour combines several tribes and the beautiful nature they settle. Weekly market days and surprise festival will add exceptional feelings to the overall experience. Day 1: Fly from Addis to Jinka, Continue driving to Turmi for your introduction of Hame people, walk through their garden and neighborhood. Overnight Turmi Day 2: Excursions to Ngangathom and Dassenech people who are both living around the river but quite in distance. Full day spent visiting these two different ethnicities and then possibly attend some ceremonies ( depending on the dates) Overnight Turmi Day 3: Visit Karo ( or Weekly tribal Market ) in the morning and then drive to Jinka where you can visit a museum that narrates Omo valley people and their settlements. Overnight Jinka Day 4: Mursi people and fly to Addis Ababa Early morning, drive to Mago national park where the famous Mursi people are living. Mursi ladies are one of the most recognizable women for their lip- plates inserting. After, walking around their village, drive back to Jinka for lunch and take the plane back to Addis Ababa. Late afternoon, free time for shopping or short walk in Addis before going to one of the known cultural Restaurant for live music and dance. End of the tour

5 day tours of Tigray, Aksum....

Flight Addis Ababa – Axum

In the morning you will take a flight from Addis Ababa to Axum and after checking in to your hotel we will take you for a city tour of the ancient city of Axum in which you will visit, Axum Tsion St. Mary Orthodox church, Dungur Palace (Queen of Sheba Palace), Historical landmark, Ezana Stone, Ezana Park and Garden, Arabtu Ensessa Church, King Bazen’s Tomb, King Bazen’s Tomb Ruin, Obelisk of Axum / Stelae Field, Queen of Sheba’s Bath and so on. O/n in Hotel

Day 2, Axum – Hawzein

Drive 20km and visit the temple of Yiha which is 3000 years old temple of Almokah and continue the excursion to Debre Tsion Abune Abreham Monastery which entirely carved from the living rock. Visit and proceed to Yohannes Makudi, one of the early Ethiopian Coptic Christian churches which is accessed via a narrow cleft between towering sandstone walls. Overnight in Hawzen.

Day 3, Korkor Mountains

After breakfast you will drive to Geraltha for 2 hours trekking visit the monastery of Mariam Korkor, which dated back 3th century. After a few minutes’ walk from Mariam Korkor you can visit the small rock church known as Abba Daniel’s Prayer room. Then drive back to Hawzien. Overnight in Hawzen.

Day 4, Abune Yemata Guh

This Day in the early morning you will drive 10km to Megab south of Hawzen and climb the mountain of Abune yemata to visit a 3rd century painting and finally after lunch drive to Mekele to visit the market and finally drive to the airport for a flight to Addis Ababa or spend the night to visit the Danakil Depression from Mekele.
