Tsion Church, also known as the Church of St. Mary of Zion, is a significant religious site located in the city of Axum in northern Ethiopia. Axum is an ancient city and was once the capital of the Aksumite Empire, a powerful kingdom that flourished from the 1st to the 8th century CE. The Axum Tsion Church is believed to be one of the oldest Christian churches in the world and holds great religious and historical importance for Ethiopian Orthodox Christians.

According to Ethiopian Orthodox tradition, the Axum Tsion Church houses the original Ark of the Covenant, which is said to contain the Ten Commandments given to Moses by God. The church is considered a major pilgrimage site, and thousands of Ethiopian Orthodox Christians travel to Axum each year to visit and worship at the church.

The Axum Tsion Church complex consists of several buildings and structures. The most prominent is the main church, which is a circular building with a cone-shaped roof. The church is made of stone and is adorned with colorful murals and religious artwork. Only priests and specially chosen individuals are allowed inside the church's inner sanctum, where the Ark of the Covenant is said to be kept.

The church complex also includes a museum that houses religious artifacts and treasures, such as ancient manuscripts, crosses, and crowns.
