ፖርቹጋላዊው ደራሲ ስለ ቅዱስ ላሊበላ

| ፖርቹጋላዊው ደራሲ ስለ ቅዱስ ላሊበላ ድንቅ ጉዳይ ጽፏል ...በ16ኛው መቶ ክፍለ ዘመን ማለትም በ1520 ዓ.ም ወደ ኢትዮጵያ መጥቶ፣ ሐገራችንን ጎብኝቶ፣ ስድስት አመታት ቆይቶ ወደ ሐገሩ ከተመለሰ በኋላ ስለ ኢትዮጵያ የተመለከተውን ታሪክ በግዙፍ መጽሐፍ አድርጎ ያሳተመው፣ ቄስ ፍራንሲስኮ አልቫሬዝ ይባላል። አልቫሬዝ የፖርቹጋል መንግስት መልዕክተኛ ነበር። ኢትዮጵያን ከተመለከቱ ታላላቅ መጻሕፍት ውስጥ ከግንባር ቀደሞቹ ነው። የታሪክ ሀብት አለው።

አልቫሬዝ ወደ ቅዱስ ላሊበላ አብያተ- ክርስቲያናት ዘንድ አመራ። አያቸው። ደነገጠ። እንዴት ሊሆን ቻለ? እንዴትስ ተሰሩ? ምን ጉድ ነው? ብሎ ተገረመ። ፈዞ ተገርሞ አያቸው። በ1520 ዓ.ም። በኋላም ስለ ላሊበላ አብያተክርስትያናት በመጽሐፉ ላይ የሚከተለውን ጻፈ።

" ስለ ላሊበላ አብያተ - ክርስትያናት ላላያቸው ሰው እንዲህ ናቸው ፣ ይህንን ይመስላሉ ብዬ ብጽፍ የሚያምነኝ የለም። ነገር ግን የምጽፈው ሁሉ ዕውነት መሆኑን በኃያሉ በእግዚአብሔር ስም እምላለሁ!"
በማለት በመሐላ አስደግፎ "ዘ ፖርቹጊስ ሚሽን ኢን አቢሲኒያ" በተሰኘው ታላቅ መጽሐፉ ውስጥ አስፍሯል።

ላሊበላ ትንግርት ነው። የጥበባት ሁሉ አውራ ነው። የኢትዮጵያ የዐይን ብሌን ነው። የአለም ቅርስ ነው። ሐይማኖት ነው። ከምንም በላይ ውድ ነው። መተኪያ የለውም። በዋጋ አይተመንም። ኢትዮጵያ መስዋዕትነት ልትከፍልለት የሚገባ መንፈስ እና ሰጋዋ ነው። ካለ ላሊበላ ኢትዮጵያን ማሰብ አይቻልምና !
