👉 Two weeks after Genna, Timket is celebrated, and is considered the greatest colorful festival of Orthodox Christians in Ethiopia.

⛪ It marks Christ’s baptism by St. John in the Jordan River and Timket falls on January 11 on the Ethiopian calendar (January 19 on the Gregorian calendar).

🎉 It's for a three-day affair and all the ceremonies are conducted with great pomp.
