You'd never imagined this landscape in Ethiopia!
On the way from Nekemte to Metu we can find landscapes so amazing and green like this tea plantation.
In Ethiopia, tea is mostly grown in the highland dense forest regions where the land is fertile and thus the use of fertilizer is very minimal. Because of this mostly organic cultivation, Ethiopian tea is increasingly sought for its aroma and natural flavors.

Ura Kidane Mehret
On the Zege peninsula in Lake Tana of Ethiopia, we can find Ura Kidane Mehret, one of the most beautiful Ethiopian Orthodox Church you can visit. The convent was founded in the 14th century, although the present circular church dates from the 16th century. Its wall are decorated with amazing murals painted between 100 and 250 years ago.

Danakil Depression, the cruelest place on earth.

We want to share with you an amazing picture from Danakil Depression.
The Danakil Depression is a desert basin which lies in the Danakil Desert in north-eastern Ethiopia and southern Eritrea. It belongs to the homeland of the Afar people. It lies up to 100 m below sea level as a result of tectonic activity caused by plate movements. The presence of many volcanoes in the region, including Erta Ale and the Dabbahu Volcano in the middle of the depression, also finds its cause in these plate movements.

Semien National Park, in northern Ethiopia is a spectacular landscape, where massive erosion over millions of years has created jagged mountain peaks, deep valleys and sharp precipices dropping some 1,500 m. The park is of global significance for biodiversity conservation because it is home to globally threatened species, including the iconic Walia ibex, a wild mountain goat found nowhere else in the world, the Gelada baboon and the Ethiopian wolf.
