Christmas in Lalibela (3-nights &4days)

5th-Jan, 2020- Addis Ababa– Lalibela
Morning flight to Lalibela, met by our representative and transfer to hotel. After your lunch, walk around and enjoy the atmosphere of Christmas. In the evening, drive to Bete Emanuel to attend the special celebration of Emanuel with chanting and dancing by the priests and deacons. The ceremony will be accompanied by a crowd of pilgrims who comes across the country to witness and get blessed from this amazing festival. After ceremony stay in your hotel or in Tent if hotels are not available.
6th-Jan,2020- Lalibela exploration Day
Morning, visit the Northwestern cluster of churches: Bet-Medhane-Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael and Bet Golgotha.
At night, attend the Christmas Eve ceremony to be held at Bete Mariam church. This evening, you will attend the Ethiopian Christmas Eve Ceremony with the pilgrims. The dancing by the deacons and the priests continue throughout the night while the pilgrims clap and ululate to the drum beat. At midnight, there will be a candlelight ceremony to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. After ceremony stay in your hotel or in Tent if hotels are not available.
7th-Jan, 2020- Lalibela another exploration Day.
On the 7th-Jan is exceptional day of the year in Lalibela at Bet Mariam church. Back to Bete Mariam church to witness the final ceremony of Ethiopian Christmas., the priests will be lined up with their drums on the cliff edge of Bete Mariam and others at the bottom, representing the shepherds and the angels announcing the birth of Jesus. After this ceremony return to hotel for your breakfast, go to the Local house in Lalibela town and enjoy with the Festival foods and drinks. Afternoon, continue with the southeastern cluster of churches: Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanuel, and Bet Abba Libanos. Finally, visit the most famous and picturesque of all the churches built in honor of the patron saint of Ethiopia: - Saint George. Overnight hotel or in Tent if hotels are not available
8th-Jan, Lalibela- Addis Ababa
After breakfast, transfer to Lalibela airport and fly back to Addis Ababa
