Who are we? ECESA was created in October 2011 and officially inaugurated in May 2012 out of the common concern of the Ethiopian Civil Engineering Students from Ethiopian Universities which was hosted by Addis Ababa Institute of Technology. ECESA established to support students of Civil Engineering all over the country by supporting them with an easy and integrated system of education facility. It has an insight of creating an all rounded work force to tackle any problem in close support of the University/Institute on its way and help realize the country’s development. ECESA creates a new way that, Ethiopian Civil Engineering Students work together within Ethiopia and across the world and could offer much more support to the Higher Education Institution in close approach for sustainable education quality which results quality Civil Engineer graduate by equally sharing available Civil Engineering profession studying resources. ECESA has got ratified Constitution by the F.D.R.E Charities and Societies Agency. How was Established,
Student Afework Nigussie(the first president), who was first pointed out the formation of ECESA and shared his idea for few AAU/AAiT Lecturers and fellow students for the aim in the formation of an alliance, a centralized system of Knowledge and Resource sharing between students of this discipline in Ethiopia starting October 2011 and finally ECESA became true officially at National Level in May 2012. ECESA Objectives,
1.Enhancing Cooperation And Team Work Amongst Members Of The Association, And Creating Links With Resourceful International Contacts To The Effect Of Encouraging Material, Expertise And Training Exchanges Both Within And Outside The Association.
2. Creating Inspiring Environment To Fellow Students To The Level Where They Can Adopt A Responsible, Motivated, And Leadership-oriented Mindset Ultimately Helping In Bringing About And/or Expediting Tangible Positive Results In Ethiopia’s Development. Generating a multitude of options to the traditional classroom teaching and learning method with the intent that the civil engineer, with better learning and innovation appetite, become a productive and contributing member of society.
4. Bringing civil engineering majors to resourceful digital and paper outlets of information and knowledge to help bring about a dynamic, innovation-driven, and problem-solving generation of civil engineers. Organizing Occasions whereby Expert and Experienced Civil Engineers Share their Work Experiences to Students so they Can Better Prepare themselves to the World that Awaits them after Graduation.
