• 3 bedrooms (1 double with additional sofa bed, 1 double with bunk beds, 1 twin room) – sleeping 8-10. There is also a caravan which sleeps a further 2 people.

• Large garden including: shaded terrace with table, BBQ, bikes, a fantastic wendy house and sturdy climbing frame.
• Our lane is shared only by a local farmer, with no main roads or other houses nearby – making it ideal for young children and those wanting to get away from the busyness of the UK. The area
There is a shop selling fresh bread, pastries, milk & essentials a couple of miles up the road. There is a supermarket 10 minutes away and 2 hypermarkets about 20 minutes by car. The nearby lakes at Etagnac (3 miles) are suitable for swimming for all ages; facilities include a diving platform, café and boules pitches. There are also the larger “High Lakes” with water sports and other amenities within about 20 minutes’ drive. Plenty of towels for general use are provided at the house. Chabanais is 6 miles away, the pretty village of Brigueuil 5m, the medieval town of Confolens 8m, and St Junien 10m. Futuroscope theme park, near Poitiers, is about 50 miles. Limoges airport is only 30 minutes’ drive (flights from several UK regional airports, including Stansted, with Ryanair and Flybe), and Poitiers airport 1.5 hours. By car, it is 8 hours from Calais and 6 hours from Caen. Les Herses has been our well-loved holiday home for 4 generations, and over the past 15 years we have made continuous improvements.
