It only feels like yesterday that we opened the pool for our first ever season. Now we have cleaned, treated and put it back into hibernation for the winter. Looking forward to the spring when it all starts again 😀

Spring and Summer meet Autumn. Our summer flowers are still going strong recently joined by the crocuses under the tree.

Coming soon in the next few weeks is our cycle maintenance room in the barn. If you’re coming out for a cycle holiday there will be a fully equipped room to store your bikes and maintain them. When it’s finished I’ll post a video and more pictures.

We would like to introduce you to the recently renovated L’Ecurie gite. It’s been a team effort with thanks to my dad and particularly Hayley for all of the painting. We love it and hope you will too

With the sun setting on our first season at Les Grands Coudrais we would like to say thank you to all of our guests. The journey has just started for us here and the positive feedback we have had had only made us prouder and more enthusiastic for next year. Thanks to our daughter Molly for the picture.

Finally managed to get around to fitting our house warming gift from my parents. Perfect for us and our love of Irish setters

Managed to hang the first piece of wall art in La Bergerie ( the Sheep fold) on change over Saturday. Looks good with the stone work showing through the design. What do you think

Made some wall art today to hang in each of the gites. Each one represents the previous use of the buildings.

Today’s project was to add to the benches around the meadow. I know we won’t have sunflowers every year but I’ve named our first new bench ‘Sunflower View’. More to come
