Lac Perdu

I hate to be jumping on the bandwagon here but I can’t ignore the concerns that have been aired by so many other fishery owners regarding this rig.

I will respectfully reserve judgement until I have a had chance to get my hands on one but in the meantime please don’t bring a ”magic twig rig” with you to Lac Perdu.

These are neither allowed nor banned at the moment and I would like to have the chance to make my own assessment on whether or not I believe them to be safe - thanks for your understanding!

On a more positive note, here’s a pic of a lovely common landed by Steve Blackhurst this week.

The season officially began at Lac Perdu yesterday with the arrival of the Alam family.

Wasting no time Hannah kicked off proceedings with this 31lb bottom lake mirror.

A fairly cool week ahead but let’s hope the bites keep on coming!

Well, not long now before we open our gates once again at Lac Perdu!

Over the winter we carried out drain downs on both lakes to assess stock and perform maintenance on the lakes.

The stock in both lakes were looking fantastic and really thriving, particularly in the top lake where other than 3 fish under 20lb which have bred in the lake, incredibly there were just 3 fish under the 40lb barrier, all 3 were still mid to high 30’s!

There were numerous 50’s but the real queens of the lake came in the way of a 67lb mirror and 65lb common..
