First season in the Dordogne finished. It was lovely to welcome people from all over the world 🌎. No rest now though, new flooring for the games room done this week, many more ‘winter’ projects to follow. This morning I went with the school to watch the rehearsal of a show that will take place on 13th May… this was truly amazing…
There are loads of shows and visits to do around here…

After what seems like days and days as well as three wheelbarrow loads of hand pulled weeds, the pétanque court is all ready to go.

Think my golf 🏌️‍♂️⛳️ might suffer 🚑 tomorrow.

Today we attended the carnaval in Les Eyzies… a lot of fun for the kids and we even had the giants puppets from Compagnie Waati Nooma
They attend loads of events around the area so you might be able to spot them when visiting…

we are so lucky to have all of this beauty around us on our morning river run.

A walk/run/cycle path is currently being constructed all along the banks of the river Vézère. Starting at Les Eyzies and finishing at the 'beau village' Limeuil.

It will be fully open in 2023, it's going to be wonderful!

July 14th Bastille Day and our little village of Les Eyzies put on a wonderful display.
A fabulous laser light show on the rocks (I missed the best photo opportunities, sorry) a beautiful firework display, live music and lots of dancing, we had a great time!!!
There are many more fêtes throughout July and August to look forward to.....
