❄️ There’ll be a partial opening of the ski area from Saturday 14th December if snow conditions allow

For those (many!) of you asking for the dates for the return of the UCI Mountain Bike World Series DH and XC events in Les Gets this summer… hosts both between 4th and 7th July.

Free Easter skiing for Kids!! And free chocolate too! What’s not to love?
BREAKING NEWS: Children under 12 ski for free in Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine and Les Gets during the Easter weekend... and they can feast on chocolate too!
On 30th and 31st March and 1st April the Morzine-Les Gets ski area will organise a huge Easter Egg hunt on the slopes and everyone can get involved. Doesn't that sound amazing?

Piste update for half term!
piste update for the half term holidays, commencing this Sunday 11/02.
Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine will adapt their lift opening times for the school holidays to ensure as many skiers and snowboarders get up into the mountains as quickly and easily as possible. The following extended lift opening times stay in place until 9th March.
🚠 Télécabine du Pleney now opens at 8.30am each morning
🚡 The Mouilles chairlift opens at 9am (this is handy because you can pop out of the télécabine, ski half way down Piste B and jump on the Mouillés to avoid the Belvedere, which is a fun little run first thing)
⛷️ The Crusaz chairlift (the one outside ) will also open during the school holidays from 9am until 4pm (closed between 12noon and 1pm). Cruzas connects to Mouilles so it’s easy to get to the top of Pleney for ski lessons using this lift combo.
🏂 Piste B remains open and perfectly skiable, so you can still ski directly back into the village. The Lièvre piste from the Nyon plateau back to the Nyon parking / bus stop is also fully functioning.
With a bit of luck (and stay tuned for updates) we’ll see some fresh snow fall on the pistes of over the next seven days, but regardless, conditions are good the higher you go and the beginner areas are still fully functional.

⛷️ In Domaine skiable et de loisirs de Morzine 91 of ski lifts are open and 56% of pistes
⛷️ In Les Gets 92% of ski lifts are open and 66% of pistes
⛷️ In Avoriaz 1800 97% of ski lifts are open and 83% of pistes
⛷️ in Roc d'Enfer 87% of ski lifts are open and 61% of pistes
There’s a good variety of green, blue, red and black pistes open across the local area, including all the beginners zones and kids play areas.
Also note that where pistes are closed, it’s often because they’re being prepared or there’s maintenance underway, it’s not always a snow situation.
❄️ And the general consensus on the treadmill at the Hive this morning was that a big weather change will arrive in the next seven days.

The lift opening and closing dates for the coming winter season in our local resorts are as follows:
AVORIAZ: Opens Friday 15th December 2023 and closes Sunday 21st April 2024.
MORZINE: Opens Saturday 16th December 2023, closes Sunday 7th April 2024.
LES GETS: Opens Saturday 16th December 2023 (partial opening for the first week, full opening from 23rd), closes Sunday 14th April 2024.

Les Gets - Page Officielle four seasons alpine coaster opens this summer and it’s sure to become one of the top attractions in our valley.
There’ll be 35 sledges, the track takes 6 minutes to descend and you’ll find it on the Perrieres sector.

SAVE THE DATE: We’re in the final weeks of the Winter 23 season but it’s time to think about next years season lift passes.
There’ll be a flash sale on Winter 23/24 lift passes on Thursday 6th April. Your Portes du Soleil season pass will be just €649 (rather than €1176) when you buy it online. The flash sale begins at 9am and finishes at 6pm and this year there’s no limit on the number of discounted passes available.
Alternatively, you can also buy a Summer 23 and Winter 24 annual Portes du Soleil lift pass for just €859 (instead of €1583).
If you plan to ski in the for more than two weeks next winter, this flash sale is incredible value! We’ll post the sale links closer to the date.
