Now that The Tortured Poet’s Department has been out for almost a week, (and we’ve slightly recovered… maybe 😭) we can’t help but get excited for Taylor Swift to come visit Lyon this June on The Eras Tour!

Taking you behind the scenes 🍷📸

This is what setting up our tastings looks like!

We use a Coravin to suck the wine out of the bottle into a beaker like this, or a lab flask for bigger groups. This way we don't have any wastage. ⁠

Some people wonder why we bother with so many glasses, and when we’re doing the dishes, sometimes we wonder too 😂⁠

Just kidding, we love our bazillion glasses because, to us, this is what tasting is all about! We need to compare wines side by side to understand what they are telling us. It's way easier to build your sensory vocabulary that way.⁠

Also, these glasses are pretty much indestructible and I can fit 50 of them in our dishwasher!⁠

THE BEST BOUCHONS IN LYON IN 2024! 🍽️🇫🇷

First up is Le Mercière on Rue Mercière- a classic serving up homestyle dishes that'll warm your soul. They cook up hearty, no-frills cooking that's been passed down for generations.

Then you've got La Meunière, which is the spot for killer Lyonnais sausages and quenelles. The vibe is super laidback and intimate.

For a truly unique experience, check out Café des Fédérations. It's ancient (over 120 years old!) and its charm lies in the detailed, rustic decor and the lively, genuine hospitality that makes every meal a memorable experience.
