I love this summer tradition in Bayeux - The Light Show at the Cathedral.
It starts tonight and will be on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evening until August 31st - from dusk until midnight.
It’s a free show and we recommend it to all our guests who can stay up late! 😉

Yay! - Local boy wins Stage 2 of Tour de France 🇫🇷🚴
23 year old Kévin Vauquelin from nearby Bayeux made it two French wins in two days by winning today's hot and hilly stage with a breakaway attack of his own up San Luca to follow up fellow Frenchman, Romain Bardet’s success yesterday.
After our post and blog yesterday about the start of the Tour and after watching Kévin win today we’re even more inspired to try some of the Tour de Normandy suggestions we have in our blog this week - why not pedal over yourself and soon you could be wearing Le Pressoir’s Yellow Jersey!
(yes, we'll be awarding a yellow jersey to the first person to go on one of our suggested bike tours when they book a stay here!

While Monet’s beautiful house and gardens at Giverny aren’t on our doorstep we highly recommend a visit. We can arrange tickets for you and the parking is free. The Lily ponds are stunning, the gardens are beautiful and to wander through his studio where many of his famous artist friends painted with him is really inspiring.
