Moulin Rabier all ready to host first wedding in 2018 on Monday - no shortage of work needed to get from Thursday morning's storm ravaged state (felled trees and debris everywhere - not to mention tiles lost on the Pigeonnier tower) after horrendous wind and rain Wednesday afternoon. Reminded us of the first wedding we hosted for the lovely L&T in 2013 when it stormed both the Thursday night and the Friday night before their big day on the Saturday. They always remind us of the experience of having Dave's face, backlit by a big burst of lightning, appear at the living room window - just to check they were OK when the power went out but gave them a big shock!

Today the scaffolding is coming down revealing Moulin Rabier's brand new roof! The process has not been easy but we are delighted with the result!

Congratulations to J&A who celebrated their marriage with their family and friends at Moulin Rabier yesterday. The ceremony was held in the courtyard, drinks reception in the garden and dinner (featuring the hog roast pictured) in the wedding barn - followed by dancing. Great time had by all we hear this morning!

We've loved having my sister and nephew here for part of his Easter holidays. Wonderful weather - wildlife watching, fire pit cooking and boules playing - with our colourful Spring gardens as the backdrop. Moulin Rabier is a great spot for a Spring break!
