From time to time, large groups of cranes pass over our house. This is normally during their northbound or southbound migrations in February and October. Last week, however, a group of cranes (over 50!) descended on our property here at L'Anglade. They were on the EDF poles, roofs and TV antennas of several houses around us! Can someone explain to me what is going on? Is it just an early migration or was it perhaps because they were driven from their normal habitats due to drought, or perhaps smoke from all the forest fires? would be interested to hear any ideas you might have!
