Castel del Monte

Castel del Monte (Italian for "Castle of the Mountain") is a 13th-century citadel and castle situated on a small hill in Andria in the Apulia region of southeast Italy at an altitude of 540 m.

In 1996 Castel del Monte was named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, which described it as "a unique masterpiece of medieval military architecture".

Andria is an agricultural and service center, producing wine, olives and almonds.

Burrata

Burrata is a fresh Italian buffalo milk cheese made from mozzarella and cream.

Burrata is a typical product of Murgia in the south of Italy. It is produced from cow's milk and cream. Burrata was probably first made around 1920.

When you cut open a Burrata, it oozes with buttery and creamy panna containing scraps of mozzarella. The cream has a rich flavour and has to be eaten immediately since it is a fresh cheese.

Verdon Gorge

Verdon Gorge is a river canyon in southeastern France.

It was formed by the Verdon River with white-water rapids, cliffs and turquoise-green colour water. Verdon Gorge is often considered to be one of Europe's most beautiful. It is about 25 kilometres long and up to 700 meters deep.

It’s located inside the Verdon Natural Regional Park and close the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has 12th-century Notre Dame de Beauvoir Chapel and ceramics at the Musée de la Faïence.

Because of its proximity to the French Riviera, the gorge is very accessible with the rental car and you can rent with security kayaks on the river, or hike the trail.
