The Economics and Business Society is the official society of the University of Aberdeen Business School and one of the largest societies on campus, with over 200 annual members. We have a mixture of 1st- to 4th-year undergraduate students from a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to, Economics, Finance, Accountancy, and Business Management. Alongside our core of undergraduate stude

nts, we have Masters, MBA, and PhD students attending our events. We aim to enrich students’ university experience on both the social and academic front. Through a wide array of academic and social initiatives, the society provides students with the opportunity to network with their fellow students, as well as with employers, to grow and develop as future business professionals. Our society is officially sponsored by Big Four professional services firm Ernst and Young. Our Story

The Economics and Business Society is the main society of the Business School, connecting Business School (and non-business school!) students, through an array of social, academic and careers-orientated events.

Since our founding in 2013, we have swiftly grown to one of the largest societies on campus, and we were awarded “Society of the Year 2015-2016” by AUSA - the official student society body at Aberdeen University. Last Year we boasted over 300 members who regularly attended our coveted events, ranging from the legendary Business School Pub Crawl to the largest Ball, the Business Ball with 370 attendees.

We are unrivalled in our social events – Pub Crawls, Pub Quizzes, Bowling, Movie Nights, BBQ, Pub Nights, Cross-Society Dinners, Christmas Dinners, Trips, Balls, and Conferences – there is everything you need to meet all your new best friends!

Besides social events, we have attended Economics Conferences around the UK, ranging from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Warwick and York.

We do also host several academic and careers oriented events, ranging from CV workshops to CISI information sessions. We are also proudly sponsored by Big Four firm KPMG, who provide us with some academic talks, and even an unparalleled opportunity of networking and learning about the opportunities they offer in Scotland and across the world.
