To my dearest wildlings,

I have missed you all dearly and I hope that you are all well during these challenging times.

It has been 1 year since I last posted on here as I had to put JustWild on hold whilst I focused on my 'real world' job.

However, one year on and it is with a very heavy heart that I have to tell you the time has come to say goodbye to JustWild. I am truly sad to be saying this as I loved every second of running this business....even when the rain was pouring and the snow was falling. And I will be eternally grateful for all of your support over the years.

But....time moves on and as they say...all good things come to an end.

I am moving to pastures new. A new school not too far from here...nestled in the Peak District. So if you have a little person and you are thinking about which school to send them to, or if your child doesn't seem quite as settled as they should be in their current setting...then please come and visit me for a chat....I PROMISE THERE WILL BE FOREST SCHOOL OOZING FROM EVERY CORNER.

I wish you all the most amazing of futures. I am so privileged to have met each and every one of you. Thank you for always being such great sports and for always going along with my crazy ideas. Sending much love to you and your families. X###x

Dear Wildlings....I have missed you and my wild time with you and yours. ❤🌳🌼

For those of you who don't know, JustWild is paused at the moment as in September I started my new role as Interim Headteacher at Styal Primary School. I am so loving this new role and feel very honoured to work at such an incredible school with such an amazing team.

We pride ourselves in offering something a little different. We are a small village school set in the stunning Styal Woods and we operate as one big amazing family. We are fully inclusive and celebrate difference. We use our incredible outdoor setting to the max and all of our children access our beautiful Forest School.

We are holding an Open Morning this Friday...and it would be lovely to see some familiar faces. So if you have a little person due to start school in Sept 2020...or if you are considering a change in setting for your child...or if you just want to come and have a nosey...then please do pop in to meeting our amazing pupils and have a cuppa!

The last Forest School session of this academic year just happened and it involved a really emotional goodbye to a very special young man who will be moving to secondary school in September. My Friday group all have severe autism and it is hard to put into words how wonderful our sessions are, how our friendships have grown and also how much the children's skills have developed over the last 2.5 years. They all touch my heart and Friday afternoon is still the best part of my week.
Next year I will need to take a step back from my Forest School life as I am taking on a new, temporary, role in my real job! I am sad to reduce JustWild as we have come so far and met so many incredible people, but hopefully it will just be a short lull and I can one day get back on track with my passion.
Thank you to everyone who has supported JustWild, it has been amazing to make so many new friends and touch so many lives. Forest School really is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.

We spent the whole day with 47 KS1 children from a local primary school. We were making, crafting, hammering, drilling, digging, weaving, learning, bonding, laughing, cooking, building, eating and smiling. The way all days should be spent. It was perfect.

Had a wonderful time with a group of Reception children. We made Poppity Ping Donuts (so yum and there were enough leftover to share in the staff room!), we weaved mini White Nancys and we made bug counters for our own game of Noughts and Crosses, Forest School style.

Had so much fun on our Campfire Cooking Day. We practised lots of new skills, coppiced hazel, made and ate pizza cooked in the Earth Oven, gutted and ponassed mackerel and trout, made apple donuts and still had time for smores! Not sure I have any room for more food tonight!

What an absolute privilege it was to meet such wonderful parents, grandparents and Wildlings this afternoon at Tinkers Clough.

It was such a wonderful session with such amazing feedback - which really does mean so much to us. To hear the words "You know, you are really good at what you do." give a me the energy and enthusiasm to carry on. Before each and every session I get so terribly nervous, just as an actor does before going on stage, because I want everyone who visits to have the best experience they can possibly have.

When I reflect on a session I always think how very lucky I am....I get to meet lovely people and interact with inspiring children, under the canopy of trees, surrounded by birdsong - all whilst working with my beautiful friends - Marcella, Cathryn and Rachel. What more could I ask for!

Thank you again to all of you who joined us at Bollington Festival. I love Forest School. It is magical. If you have photographs which you are happy to share on FB then I would love to see them 🌳🦊

It is so wonderful to be a part of Bollington Festival. We had a great Family Wild Time session yesterday in Tinkers Clough and we are super excited to be running a Parents and Tots session tomorrow. If you were there.....it was lovely to meet you....if you are joining us tomorrow....we can't wait to meet you.

North Devon you were amazing! I would highly recommend a holiday in this spot. There were stunning beaches, lots of surf for body boarding, coastal walks, Tarka Trail cycle path, lovely woodland, sufer dudes and generally lovely locals.....and so much quieter than Cornwall. North Devon see you again in the Summer! @ Braunton

Hanging out on this beautiful pebbled harbour, throwing stones into the sea when my 5 year old dude says "Mum we need to collect some glitter (this is what he calls it) as there is too much on this beach and it will hurt the creatures." So we did. Sadly it didn't take us very long to fill this bag. Makes me feel so sad for the future of our kids. @ Clovelly Village
