An amazing Aurora show last night in Whittingham. The beauty of having such dark skies here! This was just taken with my phone camera but it was so strong I could actually see the colours with my naked eye. You can see the plough too! A couple of photos from last week’s cub camp too, where we could see the Milky Way! At the cottages we provide you with outdoor chairs, cushions and blankets so you can sit out and enjoy star gazing during your stay.

‘Just wanted to let you know what a fantastic stay we had at the Coach House this week. We think it is one of the best equipped self catering cottages we have ever stayed in. So clean and comfortable and much larger than we expected with great outdoor space. Lovely walks around, and Branton Lakes was such a great find and getting the 473 bus into Wooler was fantastic for the stunning scenery which you don't always get to see by car. We will be back next year!’

Enjoying the summer in the courtyard, looking out over the fields. Cottages looking wonderful today in the sunshine and after the brilliant job of painting the doors and windows by Keith Telfer. An idyllic setting, and great base for exploring the local area.
