Our lovely cottage is fully booked for Christmas and New Year, however we have availability mid week and limited weekend dates in December. Ideal opportunity to enjoy what Barnard Castle offers in the run up to Christmas.

Do you know we’ve lots of country walks right on our doorstep? If you’re looking for a break away to enjoy the crisp autumnal weather then Barnard Castle has it all.

Hecklers Cottage will provide a very comfortable base to set off from to explore the various trails, with something suitable for all levels of fitness.

And after all that hard work there’s several local restaurants to enjoy too, right on the doorstep.

And finish off with a glass of wine in front of the log burner.

As the summer holidays draw to a close, we’d like to thank all the guests who chose to stay at Hecklers Cottage, making our first summer very, very busy.

The feedback has been amazing. If you did stay with us, but haven’t yet had time to leave a review we’d love if you would.

September is booked up nicely too. And because of how vibrant Barnard Castle is there’s always something to do all year round. So please get in touch if you’re looking for a break away later on the year too.
