A lovely morning for a wander around Wistlandpound Reservoir with the two older girls. Maddie (15) loves to paddle in cool water which is probably soothing for her old joints. Followed by a short trip to @besshillfarmshop to stock up the freezer with some locally produced goodies. RHS Rosemoor - This time it was all about the veggies! The roses are fabulous here, but I was very impressed by the kitchen gardens and orchard. I just wish I could beat the slugs and create a beautiful productive garden! When you stay with us you get to visit the best pub in Devon (imo!). We are so lucky to live just 5 minutes drive from this special place. Yesterday we were invited to have a look at the beautiful vegetables and fruit they are growing in their poly tunnel and veggie garden. Fresh, home-grown ingredients are found throughout their menu and the restaurant waste goes into a hot compost bin. Orla and I kicked off the day with a walk to Pinkery Pond on Exmoor (a popular wild swimming spot). We had the moor all to ourselves apart from some chatty school children on a school trip. Orla might not be keen on other dogs, but she LOVES humans..
We finished off with a trip to Crow Point and Saunton Sands which got Keeva’s seal of approval

Boat ride to Morte Point today!
Another great trip from Ilfracombe with @kittiwakecharters to check out the seal colony at Morte Point. We saw at least six bobbing in the water, although I was too busy watching to catch them on film! The sea was a bit more lively today, which was good fun. Lovely Lulu part 2
Last night we gave little Lulu a confidence building session in the secure dog field. I took our old lady, Maddie, along to boost her bravery and we had a lovely time
With patience I think this little dog would love hoopers or agility. She is very quick, but needs to be certain that everything is safe, so less is definitely more in her case.
This little video was taken over 50 minutes, so each little challenge was broken up with some walking and mooching. By the end she was mentally tired and ready for her basket💤

Sunny Morning News… just a quick stroll round the garden makes me realise how lucky we are. At last we have a warm and sunny spring. So sunny that the hens are hiding in the shade and it’s not even midday yet. I’m particularly excited by all the acid loving shrubs having not been able to grow them at our last house.
