Lesson prices

Hi everyone I am really sorry but due to the increase in fuel prices I have no choice but to increase lesson prices unfortunately. I have done my upmost to be fair and I hope you all understand so from 28th March 2022 they will be as follows

1 hour - £30

1 ½ hour -£ 45

2 hours - £ 55

10 hour block - £275

Hi everyone as you are all aware I haven’t increased my prices since January 2019 and I didn’t feel it was appropriate to increase prices last year or at the start of this year due to the pandemic but due to an increase in fuel unfortunately I do need to increase prices now from November 2021

The new prices will be as follows

One hour - £28
One and half hours - £40
Two hours - £50

Prepaid block booking hours

5 hours - £135

10 hours - £250

Here is the updated information from DVSA with regards the changes from next week

I would like to add that I appreciate that wearing a mask is uncomfortable in the hot weather but I will still be asking that you wear one in the car please for your lesson. I am requesting this as many of you are aware I have extremely vulnerable members of my family and I have some pupils who are in the same situation as me so I would like to do the best I can to keep my family and yourselves safe and well.

I would also like to remind you to please text me beforehand if you feel unwell or feel out of sorts so we can decide whether it would be best to reschedule your lesson

Hi just an update on private driving practice the DVSA has now updated the guidance on private practice.

I just wanted to update you I have been trying to get some clarification on the private driving practice rule that the DVSA issued at the start of the lockdown unfortunately the only answers I keep getting from DVSA is “ we are working with government to obtain further information on all aspects of driving practice, lessons and tests and will be in touch in due course” so I am no further on I am sorry
I think looking at the covid road map things change on the 29 th March as it shows the stay at home rule has been lifted so I feel until then I would be extremely cautious about private practice unless it’s an essential journey as stated in the rules as obviously if anything was to happen it could have a knock on effect on your insurance

I am so sorry to not be giving you more positive news but I just want to keep you upto speed with as much as I know and give you some reassurance that I am trying to get answers on things for you

Hi

Just an update It looks like we maybe able to return from the week of the 12th April but at the moment that isn’t confirmed by the DVSA and is subject to change so therefore I am asking people to air on the side of caution due to the following factors
DVSA havent confirmed it yet that we can return from that date ( I don’t know when they will give us an update unfortunately) but also we don’t know if they are going to impose a training period for pupils first so they can get test ready so therefore delay the start of tests during that period which has the knock on effect for me trying plan what tests I am going to have and when and the book the lessons in for those tests

As soon as I know more I will let you know ASAP all I would ask if you can remain patient and as soon as I know anything more I will let you know

Obviously once I have definite information my first point of call is to get the pupils with immediate tests booked in for lessons first as many of them haven’t had access or even been able to drive through the lockdown due to restrictions on driving practice but I will be doing the best I can to get everyone in as quickly as I physically can

Hi all just an update for you DVSA have issued this statement just incase you haven’t seen it, and also they are saying there are NO exemptions for lessons or tests for key workers as it stands at present

This is a message to all my current pupils and pupils awaiting their first driving lesson

Unfortunately due to the announcement from Boris of a lock down We have to suspend all driving lessons until the government feel it is safe for us to go about our daily lives without the threat of contracting the Corona Virus.

The DVSA (test centres) have suspended all theory tests and practical tests

If you have any questions / queries please do give me a call or text.

I will contact you all in the near future & look forward to seeing you all again once the country is back up & running.

I hope you are all staying safe, I have just had notification from DVSA that we are able to return work and that tests will recommence from the 3rd December

I need to prioritise my diary with the pupils with December tests then I will be in touch with you all to get you all booked back in as soon as I can I am sure you understand so i will be in touch with you all ASAP

Hi everyone

I have had an email from the DVSA with regard the latest lockdown from Thursday 5th November it specifies that all driving tests and driver training is to be suspended from 5th November until 2nd December so unfortunately I am unable to work until 2nd December

I will be in touch with regards lessons as soon as I can

Morning everyone, with the news yesterday regarding the new lockdown for November at the moment the guidance isn’t clear although the early indications are I cannot work but I am awaiting information from the DVSA over the next couple of days then I will update you as soon as I know

I’ve taken the decision to postpone lessons until further notice in response to Government guidance on social distancing, and ultimately to help restrict the spread of coronavirus and to keep both you and myself safe.

I shall review this decision daily listening to Government advice.

GDPR update

To inform all of my pupils the records that I keep, as you are aware are what we completed on your first lesson as a requirement for the insurance to enable you to drive the car I then use use the same record card to keep a note of your progress and achievements.

I am the only person who sees the record card and I don’t keep any of that data on any form of computer or electronic device. I do have your name and telephone number in my phone to enable me to recognise you if you need to contact me and vice versa to arrange lessons or answer queries.

I do not share any of this information with third parties or use it for marketing purposes.

Any pupil once passed their test I keep your record card for a period of one month incase they require further training eg pass plus or motorway lessons then the record card is destroyed

If you are happy with this to continue then you don’t need to do anything. If you are not happy then please contact me in writing and I will destroy your record card with immediate effect.
