Our resident wood turner Roy Boulton is usually available to volunteer their advice to all beginners who can have hands-on guidance if required whilst seasoned turners enjoy an exchange of tips and techniques over a friendly chat and a cuppa! We also hold Demonstration Days when a professional turner visits us. It’s worth noting that the morning session can be fairly cramped whilst the afternoon i
s generally more comfortable. Membership of our Woodturning Club entitles you to free admission to all our Demonstration Days and to 10% discount on most purchases of wood blanks, our own branded turning tools, craft goods, finishes and some lathe accessories. We can also offer the Woodturning magazine to Members at the reduced price of £3.00 per copy and reserve it for you too! Membership runs from January to December 31st each year and is currently £35.00 for single or £50.00 for joint membership with your spouse. Don’t forget you don’t need to be a Member to attend our Lathe Workshop on Saturdays and you can always pay £7.50 on the door on Demo Days if you prefer. The choice is yours!
