Well I just couldn’t wait to ‘share’ todays Sunday lunch with you and what a sharer it was even I didn’t mind sharing this today it was so generous … the Trio of Pork Sharing Plate - Roast Pork Belly, Pork Fillet & Pork Loin Served With Crackling, Black Pudding Fritter, Roast Potatoes, Creamy Mash, Seasonal Vegetables, Yorkshire Pudding & Gravy … no wonder Dan is smiling he knows how good it is … definitely one for your must try list, fantastic value too and this will be getting added to my Best Sunday Lunches in Northumberland guide … thank you for the invite and a wonderful lunch, well done Chef Dave and all at the The Olde Ship Inn Seahouses for another fantastic visit 🤩

SUNDAY LUNCH... Anything but ordinary.

Our Sunday Lunch has been very well received and our guests have commented that it is "the best Sunday lunch they have every had" - the reason:

The sirloin of beef is cooked to perfection, rare. Add to that the duck fat roast potatoes, tender stem broccoli and a garlic and thyme infused mash, bring all that taste sensation to the most elevated heights and pour the 10 hour rich beef bone gravy over our light and fluffy home made Yorkshire pudding... Now that's what we call an extraordinary Sunday roast.

The Northern Lights put on an amazing show last night at Bamburgh……….

Around 10:45 the sky literally lit up - it was so strong you could see it clearly with the naked eye.
However a 10 second exposure with the camera really shows it's true potential.

Troubles with the boat and the weather have meant that we have had to cancel the last two cruises, but the boat is now mended and the weather conditions are settling down towards the end of the week, so why not join us for one of our Wildlife Cruises. Some cruises go up the coast to St Abb's Head, and some down the coast to Burnmouth and beyond, both have beautiful scenery and the chance to see some great wildlife. If you like seals, then the Burnmouth cruise is for you as we time the cruises so that we can visit the small seal colony around low tide when the seals should be basking on the rocks.

Here's a schedule of the cruises over the next week or so:
Fri 19th, St Abb's Head, 10-11.30am
Sun 21st, Burnmouth, 4.14-5.45pm
Tues 23rd, St Abb's Head, 3-4.30pm
Tues 30th, Burnmouth, 12.30-2pm
Mon 5th, Burnmouth, 3-4.30pm
