**UPDATE** - We are having some technical problems with Chopstix which will mean the owners soft launch will not be able to happen on Friday as planned. We will let you know when this will be, as soon as we can. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are just days away from the brand new Chopstix Noodle bar being ready and opening here at Haggerston castle. We have had a slight push back which means the opening date has changed slightly but we are very hopeful that the official launch for chopstix will be

Play Passes can be purchased upto 11 weeks prior to your arrival date or on arrival however, are subject to availability.

Haven activities and swimming are bookable online or on arrival at the Activity Point (Creative Studio) but please remember activities are also subject to availability. It is therefore recommended that activities are booked at the time of buying passes as passes are non refundable. All issues relating to passes must be addressed directly with Haven.

If you are looking something to do with the kids, how about Heatherslaw Light Railway? There is ample free parking at Heatherslaw Station (postcode TD12 4TJ). Check their website for a timetable.

£8.50 return for an adult and from £3.50 per child. No pre-booking, I would recommend getting there about 15 mins before departure to buy a ticket and guarantee a seat, esp if it's a nice day.Dogs travel free.
There are two carriages for wheelchairs/pushchairs. The journey is 4 miles and travels through the Northumberland countryside to Etal. You will pass butterflies, rolling hills, the River Till and fields of cows and sheep along the way.
Alight at Etal and visit Etal Castle (currently free to visit with no pre-booking required), a walk through the woods, a walk along the river, lunch at the Lavender Tearooms or a pint in the cute village pub before catching the train back.
There are open public & disabled loos in Etal village with baby change.

Lady Augusta is currently in charge of trains at Heatherslaw Light Railway. We are open 7 days a week; first train from Heatherslaw at 11am then every hour until 3pm. Etal departures 11:30am to 3:30pm. We have space for buggies, wheelchairs and dogs travel free.
