It has been such a sunny week here. To celebrate Mr H’s birthday we spent spent the entire day at Sandymouth Bay. This beach is just so beautiful.

Owned by The National Trust, it is a perfect day out and not too far from here.

Just 20 mins from us is the stunning village of Sheepwash. With a lovely traditional pub ‘The Half Moon’ serving local food and an adorable village shop Bay and Bloom where the lovely Kim has all sorts to tempt you in from fresh flowers to beautiful soaps. We had a lovely visit.

I don’t think you can get more chocolate box than this.

These wonderful guests had a fabulous time at The Barn and visited so many local places. Their Pomeranian Husky ‘Odin’ was a dream, so beautiful.

The fields surrounding us are so beautiful at the moment. Guests from across the world here currently from Texas, New York, Hampshire, Leicester and London.
Limited stays now until October across all 3 cottages but we do have a few short breaks available if you would like to stay here.
Looking forward to seeing you x

This is Sully age 6, posing beautifully where he has been very happy for the last week. Mainly lounging on the decking, sunbathing whilst his fabulous owners completely relaxed each day.

A tin of Hammerite, a few hours of blissful painting and these original cartwheels look beautiful once again.
Displayed against the stables for all our guests to see.
Next job - the old plough and some wrought iron planters that we’ve bought this week.

The Woolsery & District Agricultural Show is being held on the 29th July 2024 and if like us you are planning to visit, you are assured of a fantastic day. Shire horses, Cattle & Sheep marquees, Dog shows, Vintage machinery, Food marquees and Handicraft, Horticulture and cookery.

Mr & Mrs H will not be entering our tomatoes just yet by the look of them, although Double Cranberry Cosmos could be in with a chance.

Our Woodpecker telling all other Woodpeckers in the neighbourhood he is around - quite incredible. Apparently it makes a loud noise that proclaims the bird’s territory and attracts a mate. It’s really loud. RSPB
