One of the best badger latrines I've seen! Just LOOK at that view! Looking at the view, whilst having a poo 💩 🦡🐾
We also found a very well used badger sett near by, build into the hillside 🌄🌳

Mute Swan feathers are MASSIVE 🪶
These chonky feathers are from the wing of a mute Swan 🦢
Found around 10 of these, whilst kayaking in North Wales. The last picture shows the size of the feathers, compared to an A4 tracking book 📖

How cool are these underwater wild boar tracks? 🐗💦
This happens when an animal steps into soft mud. Then a few days of warm, sunny weather, bake the earth till its dry and solid. Then, a days worth of rain falls and creates these beautiful signs of nature! 😍🐾

The client brought out the big guns, in terms of her 1950s camera. She used this camera in Japan last year to film wildlife trackers, tracking boar 🐗

Throwback to a bit of shed hunting 🦌🐾
After a long walk, of over 10 miles, we found 2 red deer antlers 🦌
As we sat and had lunch, we were greeted with sights of over 100 red deer, walking down the hillside 🌄🐾

Had a smashing day, showing participants wild boar tracks and signs, on behalf of the Mammal Society (Sunday 12th May)🐗🐾
The morning started with a class room session, where participants learnt about the ecology, populations, habitat and more of wild boar in the UK. Then in the afternoon I showed each one wild boar tracks and signs, such as tracks, notching, wallows, rubbing trees, hair and rooting 🌱
One of the participants even saw a wild boar! 🐗
Truly amazing day, very much looking forward to the next one!

A badger poo with a view 🦡💩
This clan of badgers have some stunning scenery, when needing a Number 2! This latrine has one of the best views I've seen in a while 🏞
This was one of 4 latrine areas we found, on the hills of the Lake District.

A few things I've been up to at work recently!
Helping with newt surveys, to estimate population sizes and what species we have on site (surveys done under licence).
Also finding countless common lizards 🦎 on the guided walk I ran a few weeks ago 🐾

Red deer droppings, are a similar size to acorns. These are often found in small piles 💩

A week ago, I was practicing my route for the deer survey at work. This involves driving off road, around a planned area and recording deer species we have on site. We were lucky enough to bump into this herd of 5 fallow bucks, having a feed 🦌🐾 Truly magical 👌 . . . . #trackeral #wildlifetracking #animaltracking #fallowbucks

Last year, myself and @sharna_wildlife had a week travelling around the Highlands of Scotland 🌲⛰️ We decided to pull over, not far from the North Coast, to give the campervan a once over before the long journey ahead. As I jumped out, this MASSIVE bird flew over the van. We both scrambled for our binoculars before it dipped behind the hills. To our amazement, it was a white-tailed eagle 🦅 . We managed to pick it back up again, feeding on a deceased sheep 🐑 I then ran and got the spotting scope and managed to get some footage! . Yesterday we ran our night mammal walk, at @castlebromwichhallgardens 🦊🐾🔦 We had a massive turn out for the event, which is always great! The thermal monocular was a game changer, highlighting a range of mammals throughout the evening. We saw bank vole, wood mouse, brown rat and red fox!
