Pandy Bach (the name means “small fulling-mill”) is a 17th-century Grade II-listed detached stone cottage in Gellilydan, Gwynedd, within the Snowdonia National Park. It is ideally situated as a base for exploring southern Snowdonia. It has many charming original features, including a slate floor, inglenook fireplace, spiral stone staircase and wooden beams. Dormer windows and wooden partitions wer

e added in the 19th century. Previously in a dilapidated state, it was restored in 2014-15 to a high standard by local builders working to a specification by Nicholson Price Associates, historic building and heritage consultants. Pandy Bach sleeps up to five people. It has three bedrooms (two double beds, one single bed), an upstairs bathroom with bath and WC, lounge, dining room and kitchen. Fuel and garden furniture are stored in an adjacent former stable / cowshed. Heating and hot water are is provided via a linked electric / solid fuel system and immersion heater. It has secondary glazing throughout. Dogs are very welcome. Cycle storage is available. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the premises. On account of its proximity to the main road, and the steep stone staircase, Pandy Bach may not be suitable for families with young children or for anyone with limited mobility. Dogs may need to be kept on a leash in the garden. Rental charges per week are as follows:

November - March £300
April and May, September and October £375
June - August £500

Rates for shorter stays are negotiable. Cost is inclusive of use of bed linen and towels, electricity and fuel.
