📆 This year in the historical Llechwedd Deep Mine, Santa and his elves will be heading underground with us on the cable railway to our magical grotto from the 29th of November, right up until Christmas eve, every Friday-Monday.

🎟️ 🎁 Tickets start at £18, and included in this you get a mulled wine/ hot chocolate on entry, a gift from Santa, a Welsh slate bauble to decorate at our craft station, a mince pie, and a ride down to the Deep Mine on Europe's steepest cable railway! Families with children of all ages are welcome.

🎄 This will be the first Christmas experience we are hosting in quite some time, and to be able to do so in this incredible historic space is an honour. Thank you all so much for your support!

We ❤️ dogs here at Zip World, so if you’re visiting us with your pooch, we’d like to encourage you to not leave your dog in the car during this hot weather. We’ve seen a few poorly pooches during this heatwave 😢

If you've been on our Penrhyn Quarry site recently, you've probably seen our construction team building a little something at the front of our reception building...

Introducing Quarry Flyer!💨

This dual zip line adventure is ideal for kids or anyone not quite up to the white-knuckle adrenaline rush of Velocity 2. After climbing the steps to the Adventure Terminal terrace, you’ll be able to enjoy stunning views of the Penrhyn Quarry site and the bright blue lake below.

After being clipped in by a Zip World instructor, the first of two zip lines will send you flying 110 metres through the air, from the Adventure Terminal to the tower that forms the launch point for your second zip line. Once you’ve landed safely on the tower, you’ll climb another small flight of stairs before zipping a further 90 metres back down to the ground.

Grab a helmet, because our underground adventures are reopening on Monday the 17th of May! 🎉 🎈

If you missed yesterday's competition announcement, we're so excited to be able to welcome you all underground in less than a week's time!

At Zip World Slate Caverns we have;
👉 Bounce Below, the UK's only underground bouncy net adventure, kind of like big trampolines in a huge disused mine
👉 and Caverns, an underground adventure course that will test your courage as you zip and traverse your way through the mine

You've all been really looking forward to getting back underground with us, so we're just glad to finally be able to say you can! All social distancing measures will be in place as always, including compulsory masks at all times, reduced capacity, and loads of hand sanitisation stations 🙌

IT’S ALMOST TIME TO STEAM AGAIN:
'THE FANTASTIC FOUR'…

With spring on its way, we are moving forward with renewed hope that 2021 will be a brighter year for our railway. Whilst some of the uncertainty which has overshadowed us for large parts of 2020 remain, the future is looking brighter.

We are delighted to announce that, in accordance with Government guidelines, we plan on reopening our services on Saturday, 1st May, with the ‘Mountain Prince’ and the ‘Gelert Explorer’ services.

These are two of our four exciting journey options for 2021, which will also include the ‘Woodland Wanderer’ and ‘Glaslyn Venturer’ services.

Bookings are now OPEN for these services between: 1st of May – 23rd of July.

🎉 Exciting news!🎉

Our Titan adventure is being upgraded to Titan 2! 🤩

In this new version of the adventure, you'll embark on a stunning 45 minute tour of the famous Llechwedd slate quarry, hosted by one of our really knowledgable team members, before heading over to the zip zones to complete the Bravo and Charlie zip lines, where you'll reach speeds of around 70mph! You can go home having completed 2 amazing seated zip lines and armed with new knowledge 🤓
