White Rose Rugby is set up to provide clubs and schools with experienced, dedicated, professional coaching personnel with the skills and expertise to deliver quality rugby coaching at all levels, from P

rimary and Secondary School to Club rugby. We believe that a high quality of coaching delivery is essential to ensure both the growth and sustainability of rugby whilst keeping players/pupils engaged and developing. Whether delivering in Primary or Secondary schools we always ensure that all sessions are comprehensively planned, based on players abilities and that their development is measurable and reportable. All coaches at White Rose Rugby have a minimum qualification of Level 2 in Rugby but most have significantly more qualifications in rugby, teaching or sports management as well as up-to-date DBS clearance and relevant first aid training. Primary Schools Sports Coaching
All coaching within primary schools is curriculum based, covering all elements of the national curriculum (except dance!) and can be provided before school, in school hours (PPA cover), lunchtimes or in after-school sessions. We have the expertise and experience to deliver rugby sessions in PPA time and can provide reporting for Sports Premium Funding on pupils development and progression throughout our coaching sessions at your school. In addition, as well as providing detailed curriculum based session plans we can help facilitate the development of teaching staff through the RFU to gain RFU coaching qualifications. All our coaching delivery is supported by and regularly assessed by the local RFU coaching and development team. Secondary Schools Rugby
Whether delivering All Schools rugby coaching, in-class coaching or after-school sessions, we have the qualifications and experience to providing coaching from year 7 girls and boys through to 1st XV rugby. We also have the experience in helping schools with RFU student leadership programmes. Club Rugby
Through our delivery within Primary and Secondary schools we aim to provide enjoyable and engaging coaching to pupil whilst providing a pathway to continue playing at local clubs. Our aim is to ensure that our rugby delivery within schools leads to sustainability and growth of rugby at local, grassroots rugby clubs with clear and transparent pathways for all players. Through our coaching delivery with primary schools, All Schools programmes and Satellite clubs we make a real difference to several rugby clubs and have close relationships with many clubs within Yorkshire. We are always on the look out for talented and dedicated sports coaches (Rugby, Netball, Football, Hockey or Cricket) to provide coaching delivery with primary school, secondary school and club environments.

The main role of a coach with us will be delivering sessions to primary and secondary school pupils. As a coach you will also be expected to play an active role in supporting teachers and others in increasing their knowledge of, and confidence to deliver. Building strong relationships with local schools and community clubs, you will help to improve their engagement and performance in sport through the delivery of high quality coaching.

The guys have been training for a few months, improving their skills and knowledge around the game, as well as having access to a new sports setting in their local community. Game changer. 💪

What A DAY!

Last week our two girls tag rugby programmes collaborated for the first time after 12 weeks of introduction into tag rugby (From the Mosque & Old Rishworthian Rufc )

Old Crossleyans RUFC Old Crossleyans Girls RUFC very kindly hosted a teams participation event where they had the chance to test their skills against the girls from Old Rishworthian RUFC

The opportunity the Rugby United project has given groups like this to meet and play against another teams. Congrats girls and thanks for all the hard work you and the clubs have put in put in over the last few months.

One month to go!!!
Roll-up, roll-up! With the new rugby season and training set to start in around a month, we are kicking the season off with another group sports day, and all existing and new players are invited.

The day will also be a “Give-it-a-go”/ registration day so if existing players have any pals that would potentially like to take up a new sport or are interested in joining Baildon from another club, please bring them along too.

Be aware, for maybe younger siblings or those that don’t want to join in, we will also have the always entertaining bouncy castles, music and the ever mourish tuck shop for all the family to enjoy (the kitchen and bar will also be open!!!)

What a fabulous day at The Oval, London for the awards. All the nominees were truly inspirational and our very own Ahsan had the honour to be a judge of and then present the "Graduate of the Year" award to the amazing Aura Chacón Godoy from .
Ahsan loved every minute of the day, catching up with the Coach Core team, meeting past winners, presenting Aura's trophy and getting to see some of the sights of London too.
A huge thank you must go to the entire team at Coach Core for continuing to inspire their apprentices and nurturing their skills and confidence to then inspire their communities to become more active. We agree with "it's unbelievable what belief can do".
