📍 Llangorse Lake in the heart of the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park, is the largest natural lake in South Wales. 🏞️ Surrounded by a patchwork of green hills, fields and meadows, Llangorse is a truly beautiful spot and a lovely place to sail or paddle as well as a fantastic haven for wildlife. It is home to an ancient Crannog, which is now a small accessible visitor centre in the style of a thatched, round house.

Thrilled to be featured in a lovely article in National Geographic Magazine from December.

'There are rich pickings on a trip through the mountains and valleys of Bannau Brycheiniog, formerly known as the Brecon Beacons. Whipping along these narrow lanes, you’ll discover a winery, a smokery, a roastery and a country inn where chefs riff creatively on hyper-local ingredients' Bannau Brycheiniog - Brecon Beacons - National Park.

We’re excited to announce that Y Bwyty Bach by Connor Turner will be coming to Llys a Castell Tretwr / Tretower Court and Castle early this spring.

Connor has previously been awarded two rosettes and pub of the year at The Three Horseshoes Groesfford, and has worked in various Michelin Star establishments such as the Walnut Tree, under Shaun Hill. He will bring his own style of cooking - a modern British twist using local seasonal produce - offering evening fine dining and affordable lunchtime options.

The project to bring the disused barn at Llys a Castell Tretwr / Tretower Court and Castle back into use aims to enhance the visitor experience at the monuments, and bring more people to the area. The restaurant will also provide employment opportunities for local people.
