Monday 4th March marks 200 years of the RNLI.

There’s lots of TV coverage of the event to look forward to over the next couple of weeks.

A Songs of Praise special is now available on BBC iPlayer. It was filmed with our good friends at Scarborough Lifeboat Station.

On Monday 4th March, there will be features on Good Morning Britain on ITV, Breakfast on BBC1 and Sky News.

On Sunday 10th March, the RNLI will feature on Countryfile at 7pm on BBC1

Last, but no means least, on Tuesday 12th March there will be a very special edition of Saving Lives at Sea at 9pm on BBC2. Dermot O'Leary will be presenting a special programme on the RNLI during the Second World War.

Keep an eye out for local coverage too.

Starting from Bridlington this linear walk follows the Headland Way along the coast to Flamborough Head and North Landing. From North Landing there is bus service 14 back to Bridlington. The route offers excellent views along the coast, explore the sheer chalk cliffs of the headland, see two former lighthouse towers and up to 20,000 nesting sea birds in season. www.walkingbritain.co.uk/walk-2264-description
